Hey, I wanted to answer your question in your thread, but you closed it, so I'd thought I'd just tell you here.  You asked me what I think you can improve on with your digital art, and this was how I was going to respond:

Well, I think one thing you have to work on is capturing dimension and better understanding shadows and the way light affects objects.  I can see that you're a fan of cinematic lighting (I am too, believe me, but I'm also far from perfect at it), but your drawings demonstrate a lack of thorough understanding as to how objects are manipulated by light sources.  (The fourth thumbnail, for example, looks one-dimensional in great part because the lighting and shading is misconstrued.  Because the light source is in the background rather than the foreground, the subject in the foreground should be more darkly shaded because she's blocking the light, which would then diffuse around her).  It's kind of hard to explain, especially because this concept is an entire science in and of itself; but does what I'm saying make any sense?  I hope I'm not too harsh, I'm just trying to provide constructive feedback.

If you wanna criticize my drawings, I'm all ears too.  You can rip them apart if you want to lol.

Thank you! That really helps me out I have been working a lot on more realistic lighting and anatomy lately. I actually just happened to be working on that drawing again, and something about the light was bothering me, I will definitely make the subject more shadowed!
