Bear45 In reply to crystalpixie [2008-10-17 00:51:17 +0000 UTC]

sibling rivalry is normal but I think alot of the time it is hard for sibling to accept the other esp when they come from a differeent mom

Hey that works for me well. I have the same ideas about life. I think we would get along well. If more people thought like we did the world would be a much nicer place.

crystalpixie In reply to Bear45 [2008-10-22 12:56:46 +0000 UTC]

i think so too. thats kinda why i want to be a massuss.(however you spell it) people just need to relax. i rekon if everyone relaxed more, we wouldnt have so many problems

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Bear45 In reply to crystalpixie [2008-10-22 21:29:50 +0000 UTC]

My chriopractor would agree with you and wanting to be a massuse. Maybe I shold get you and her together.! She did say when she gets a bigger office that she will be looking for a massuse as well.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

crystalpixie In reply to Bear45 [2008-10-22 23:45:27 +0000 UTC]

oh awesome! your chiropractor is one of the smart ones. thing is if you go for a massage before you see a chiropractor, it works better, as the massage relaxes your muscles and nerves making you a better reciever to alignement and adjustments

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Bear45 In reply to crystalpixie [2008-10-23 16:02:57 +0000 UTC]

Yes you R right and she dose give me a short massage before she dose the adjustment. I always tell her that I am going to give just one hour to stop doing that! LOL

But IDK how much longer I welll be able to afford her as like everything else her rates and the insurance is going up also. So IDK what I am going to do might have to give here up for a while.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

crystalpixie In reply to Bear45 [2008-10-24 08:15:41 +0000 UTC]

ah bugger! well what do you need the alignments for? perhaps there are exercises you can do?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Bear45 In reply to crystalpixie [2008-10-25 01:37:46 +0000 UTC]

Well I originally went because I my right upper thigh was numb (pins and needles) all the time and after going the a reg doc and specialists in pain management. And after all kinds of shots in my lower back that did no good at all. I tried Dr. Groves and she looked at all the x-rays and mri ect and found some things that the reg doc said were nothing to worry about. in a short time of my seeing her the numb feeling went away! So I have been seeing her ever since then. Also my job is pretty physical on my feet all day and allot of lifting and bending in strange ways. So that takes it's tole on the body. And yes I will admit that she is just such a nice warm friendly person and a good listener it is just nice to go and relax.

If I was asked I would say that you are much the same way.

crystalpixie In reply to Bear45 [2008-10-29 21:11:32 +0000 UTC]

oh wow. she has magic hands.thank gods she caught it otherwise you would have been in some serious trouble/pain (probably both)
what job do you do? maybe you have to rethink your job?
i try to be a good listner...i hope i am...well in 2 years when i'm a qualified masseus, i'll come to jersey and give you a massage

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Bear45 In reply to crystalpixie [2008-10-29 23:47:55 +0000 UTC]

Yes she does have magic in her hands. She is also very much into holistic meds and treatments..That to also seems to work well but again The insurance company will not cover anything like that and that stuff is really expensive. I think she spends like 5 to 600 per month on the stuff for her fam.

I have been a automotive mechanic for the last 27 years. And not really sure I could or would want to change now..But It may come to that.

I really think you will be a good listener!
Wow the course you are taking is 2 years? What dose that get you?

Thanks Yes I would love a total body massage Never had one. I'll be happy to be your practice partner!
Just let me know when to pic you up at the airport.

crystalpixie In reply to Bear45 [2008-10-30 23:49:25 +0000 UTC]

automative mechanic.....COOL!
well at least shes making sure her family are healthy. what a legend.

ahhh....its part time cause i still have to work, but it's a diploma

ah i heard about that...the american government not classifying it as medicine so its not covered by insurance? thats bullsh-t. natural medicine is a brilliant way to help someone. yes sciencey medicine is essential to treat certain diseases also, but natural medicine in some cases is better. i have chronic exczma and the only thing that has actually gotten rid of it (with out the use of steroids) was a naturopathic solution. my last doctor tried to give me steoids (AGAIN!) with out looking at my medical history. i said to him

"dude steroids?"
"yes, with your exczma acting up so badly you need steroids to-"
"what the hell i have PCOS!" (poly-cystic ovarian syndrome)
"oh really....umm welll...." *turns to his computer and checks medical history*
"oh yes you do....well i think there might be another-"
"yeah thanks but no thanks.I'm out. i just need a repeat perscription for the pill...my type will be on my medical history print it out would you."
he prints it and gives it to me and asks
"your exczma is only going to get worse if i dont perscribe you something"
"no it wont. i'm going to a naturopath."
"right.fine.i'll see you in a few weeks for some exczma cream then."
"you're a waste of oxygen" and left.

i win....10 points. PCOS is a condition in the body that for some reason makes the ovaries produce too much testosterone.steroids STIMULATES testosterone.
you need the right kind of levels in your body to function. the kind of pill that i'm on while prevents my from getting knocked up now, also stimulates my body to produce the right ammount of oestrogen and nulify the testosterone. if i have (or any woman) has too much testosterone in their body and they dont find out quick enough, they can become sterile. i found out early enough. some people arent so lucky.

Bear45 In reply to crystalpixie [2008-10-31 00:48:54 +0000 UTC]

I would give you 100 Points for standing yup to your doc! I know they don't like it. I'm really surprised that he made the comements to you that he did! Very unprofessional of him!!! But If I were you I would just stop by his office and show him that you exczma has cleared up just using the natural stuff. But that is just me. So If I'm not getting to personal Will you be able to have kids if you decide you want to. Or will it be hard to get pregnant with the pills. (Berth control?)I assume. And if you had to go off of them to get "knocked up" Will your symptoms com back? Forgive me for asking all the ?? But this is all new to me.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

crystalpixie In reply to Bear45 [2008-10-31 12:11:20 +0000 UTC]

no no totally fine like i said, i'm a very open person
yeah i dont want to waste any money seeing that guy. he's one of those who wont believe even if he gets slapped in the face with the proof. *sigh*
because i caught it in time i have about an 80% of being able to have kids.it went from
"you can try IVF, but honey i wouldn't waste the money"
to
"80%. congratulations sweetie! we'll put you on a special birth control pill that will keep PCOS at bay."
(this was my original FEMALE doctor.she was awesome.gave me a hug when i started to cry. she doesn't work anymore. she had a kid, went on maternity leave, and then never came back.)

so even if i get knocked up, i'll still have PCOS and always will. i'll never get rid of it. its a chemical imbalance in my body.
even with 80% chance, it will still be harder to concieve as my body will think that there's another imbalance and will try and rectify it so i'll have more doctors appointments then most pregnant women.the child will be perfectly healthy, however PCOS will be passed to said child as it is genetic. (even if baby is a boy he can still pass it on)

the symptoms will come back to a certain extent, but there are things that the doctors can do to stop it from harming me and baby.

i'm 21 right now so not really interested in children. never really have been. i like other peoples kids, because i can give them back at the end of the day.

PCOS is actually quite common in women now days.its one of those genetic things that gets worse every generation.one of the major symptons is not having your period for an extended period of time. (i went 8 months once, and then 6 when i was with dave. he made me go to the doctors,so i kinda owe him one.)

Wow I'm sorry that you body is doing this to you. Some times I wonder Y bad things happen to GOOD people.

That is one really nice thing about a female doc. I remember that when my dad passed away quite suddenly and I was pretty much a backet case. She gave me a hug and let me cry it out. It was so sweet of her to do that.

I myself never had any kids. And not really sure I would want one at this age or not. Not that if I was to get someone knocked up I would not want it or enjoy it or love it. But it would be a BIG change for me. I know what you mean about being able to give kids back at they end of the day. I do that with my next door neighbors kids. I guess I must be doing something right because they love me and are always asking their mom if the can come see me. It's sweet.

shit happens, and you just have to deal with it as best you can. something always good happens in the end even if its finding $10 on the street and buying yourself a treat or something.i tend to buy eye liner

oh i'm so sorry to hear that bear!you must have been a wreck. i know i would be.you poor thing *hug* lupcky then that you had someone like her and her shoulder. she must be a very selfless person

how old are you bear? you cant be that old surely?

awww see- you'd be a good dad.and you get to put them to bed at the end of the day which is almost the same as giving them back to someone else at the end of the day

Bear45 In reply to crystalpixie [2008-11-02 13:33:02 +0000 UTC]

True but If I know you as well as I think if you were to find $10 in the street you would do the right thing and see if you could find the rightful owner before you went and bought yourself a treat!

Do you believe or agree with this statement? "What goes around comes around"

As for my age I am 46 now and will be 47 in May

I love the way you think! (your comment about me being a good dad)

Thanks

*sigh* i'm easy to read i guess. easy to hurt too. to open and trusting i guess.

i do believe in that statement.makes me think to what extent did i hurt someone so badly that...anyway

well you seem like the kind of person who would be good with kids. bears are protective too

wow ok, yeah old

Bear45 In reply to crystalpixie [2008-11-03 16:32:34 +0000 UTC]

You R an easy read for me because I suspect that we are alike in allot of ways. I know I get hurt easily. Yes to being to open and trusting. I think allot of people see that as a weakness and take advantage of it. I have been told my many girls/woman that I am to nice and treat them to well (one of the biggest reasons that I am single I think) IDK I can't figure it out Y woman like men who treat them like shit? But it seems that is the kind of guy they always go for!!

Yes If I like you as a friend or lover I would protect you to the end or give you the shirt off my back if you needed it.

("wow ok, yeah old") OUCH! LOL Don't worry I'm used to it. And you can't fight it unfortunately. So I just make the best of it. and things as they come along.

haha aww i'm sorry bear, i didnt mean it like that!i just hadnt figured you for late 40's. late 30's maybe but whatever.you're pretty cool anyway.

i dont know either. women are weird like that. maybe its because they want to see something in the shit guy to prove that people can change and that there is good in everyone. thats what it was like with me and my x. i pushed everyone that i loved and loved me so that i could try and fix this guy. he didnt want fixing. he liked being broken. it got him attention.

have sworn off asses.nice guys only from here on in.

yeah i'm the same as you i think bear. protect the people you love to the bitter end no matter how much you hurt kinda thing.sometimes you gotta learn to let go though....i think that hurts more sometimes
