According to TV.com, the latest episode (#38) was aired on June 1, 2008. So, the show is still fairly new.

It is. Last Train is labelled as episode #40, but there's *technically* only 38 episodes in the show (two of them are two-part episodes).

Unfortunately, it's over.

Yeah, I don't know if he actually pays that much attention to Ruby anymore. I think he's working mostly on Nihao Kai-Lan, or maybe he's just taking a break or something.

Perhaps MightyFine or whoever makes the cartoon killed his interest, which would be sad.
If he signed over creative rights for Nelvana to rewrite his work perhaps thats what made him give up in Ruby since it's no longer about the little happy goth in a mansion with a boy in a skull-mask, Iris, Jelousy and... well I think the differences beween Misery is that his Misery wasn't unlucky, just sad.
Eitherway this is why I wanna make games alone. I would be honoured if my fan games were made canon but I wouldn't want someone rewritting my own scripts.

Absolutely. Artistic creativity, that's the ticket. You don't want someone changing the script when you've taken all your time and effort and passion to write it just how you want it anyway.
I don't know that Nelvana actually changed that much of Hsu's style as it is. Sure, some characters appear differently, but that's to be expected, since you can't exactly follow the artist's design to the letter AND produce a two-season highly animated cartoon. Everyone else's character seems intact, though since Hsu didn't define a lot of the characters anyway...
Also, I don't think Jealousy was a "main character" of his, just a one-off for the picture in question.

True, but if Hsu allowed Nelvana to have Ruby Gloom and he continued with his own thing with Ruby it would still be as interested as comparisons between Sonic games, cartoons adn comics.

So I say Mr. Hsu shouldn't think that Nelvanah can go all up on his lil girl because they have cartoon.
Take for example the Sonic games and Archie Sonic comics, both series are continuous peacefully beside each other telling very different stories but with same characters.
As well as famous Superheroes like Spider-man, Batman and Superman who's stories are retold and drawn through different cartoons, movies and comics!

Only two months since the last bit he uploaded, and he still lists Ruby as his favourite cartoon character...but he could just be taking a sabbatical from drawing Ruby. Can't always just draw one character...or even just one subject. Variety is the spice of life, they say.
