Why didn't I thought of this before? It worked when I asked if Poe was Ruby's legal guardian.
I will just send an EMail to webmaster@rubygloomtv.com asking if their will be more episodes.
Worst that can happen is they don't reply... Or say no more eps.

Did you know Poe is Ruby's legal guardian?
I questioned their relationship between friend and guardian because it seems Poe is the oldest and (in his sort of way) maturist of the friends. But it seems Ruby sees him more as a friend than a guardian and Poe doesn't seem conserned about the upbrining of the kids like education and such.
They should consider an episode where someone comes round to check if Poe is a suitable guardian... while the house breaks down.

That would be an interesting plot indeed! Seems to make sense that Poe is the guardian, as he IS plainly the most adult character (despite his diminutive size). Only an adult would give a line like "If the button fits, you must acquit!" XD

Well, Ruby does go to him for advice in Gloomer Rumour, so perhaps she sees him a sort of father figure...I'm sure there's another instance of it too, but it slips the mind at the moment.

Well, one thing that concerns me is that he doesn't always know where Ruby is, some of the situations they get into... well remember in "Broken Records" when Ruby was stuck down the well?
Poe was busy counting Iris' jumps that understanding the seriousness of the situation.

I must admit the Pickles just totally ignore them, like the times Angelica almost got killed a few times. (Srsly)
I don't really watch the replacement, but I know one thing. That those parents were never really "replaced". Inyet still those replacement parents don't just act like replacement parents but totally accept them as their own as a family.
Parents have been referenced a few times in Ed, Edd and Eddy. But it is a strictly no adult character cartoon.
Hey Arnold. (AClosest show of your selection I like) actually does have pretty good parenting IMHO. Even though that they are his grandparents, not regular parents. A good episode would be the one when their is a "Parent child Sports day" and Arnold was picked on for not having actual parents.
I think I cried the first time I saw that episode.
As for Helga's parents I think they are 'suppose' to be neglectful to encourage real kids simular to Helga's family to question and do something about their lives if they are unhappy.

Well sure, sure. But then again, Ruby's world is so much different than our own that it works just as well that there are no parental restrictions and whatnot. Freedom to move about as necessary (such as in the world of Ed Edd & Eddy).
Hm, interesting point. Ruby seems to take a motherly position herself: keeping everyone together, offering helpful solutions, doing the heavy lifting herself and sacrificing her own piece of the pie to ensure that everyone else has gotten some first. So maybe by legal matters, Poe is her guardian, but by personality, Ruby is the caretaker of everyone in the house.

I wouldn't say she did sacrafice her slice, she just has to balance between caring and playing.
I know it's a cartoon world but I hope such a childhood won't have negative side-effects when shes grown up. Some children who have too much responsabilities and have to give up their childhood early would usually neve rhave the chance to fully understand their sense of self.
For example because of my Autism I had to keep it in check but it also dragged me down in socialising skills, prefering to stay on the sidelines or in the shadows than to simply ask "Can I play too?". Plus fears that I would do something wrong.
In other words these days I don't hate myself, but I don't really like myself either. I supposeI prefer not to get involved with my personal affairs either.
Eitherway I hope Ruby doesn't end up as the perfect "mothering caring" figure, than the perfect "Ruby Gloom".

I know. In other words, right now... which will always be "now" in the cartoon, her life is perfect for her. She does have responsabilities, but nothing like education, teenhood dillemas that no one really want or care about. Heck it would be a 50% chance a bad idea if Nelvana considerd that idea to do. I know I want to make a fan game based 5-10 years after the cartoon, but thats for a fan game with my own original plot. If it was actually a cartoon that would not appeal well to the viewers IMO.
But still, I believe no matter what cartoon you favour, the viewers will eventually consider the possible future of the characters as to relate to themselves more. Like how would Ruby and SkullBoy get along when they are pumped with hormones. XD
Actually I think PowerPuff Girls remedied the question with a glimps of the future when they were teens, only temporary.
