Our armed forces are the most valuable asset we as Americans hold. More priceless than gold, because they put their lives on the line to ensure our freedom and way of life.

I absolutely and whole-heartedly agree with the sentiment - but - I would suggest that FREEDOM is our most valuable asset - and that the armed forces are sooo very important because they are the protectors of it (and us) - and it is because they feel Freedom is worth fighting/dying for that makes them so dear.

Same sentiment - and I think it's probably a "six-of-one, half-dozen of the other" or "cart/horse" quandary - we wouldn't have one without the other
But it's nice to see that evoked by a "simple" photograph.

Agreed. Definitely agreed. And that's the whole reason behind photography (for me, anyways), is to provoke a reaction or, more specifically, to evoke emotion or feeling with the viewer. It's not about following rules and "doing it the prescribed way". I shoot from the hip and always keep at it 'til I get what I want from my subject.
