Not really, but what I'm saying is that the vast majority of stuff was not reused- even though doing so would give the option of doing a double-region with Kalos, an idea people really seemed to like.

Except probably for the engine.

What we were talking about before earlier on 4 Kids and shit.

"Sounds like you hang around many gay men who don't play that effeminate shit."
whatever

"Eh, don't care much for HD, rather have the money spent on more content."
It's because it would have gotten the AAA games if it was HD. Plus, you seemed to be the kind that cares more about power.

"There's a place for VR; it's just a terrible time to bother, the finished product still costs too much for something the companies aren't really investing effort into  with no real way to show something of value to lure in people who aren't flush with money to invest in being smug. Who doesn't have at least two tvs these days?"

You could- but it would have to be high-fidelity AF, with at least 90 fps to prevent motion sickness. Which is why it's probably going to be the next console for Nintendo, since they never make high- cost consoles.

Also, who doesn't have 2 TVs these days?

Hmm, let's see, apartment owners, most people in Europe and East Asia, college students with roommates, people living with grandparents that never get off one TV, leaving only 1 TV to be used by the rest of the household in practice...

Just because you live in a relatively wealthy suburban household, doesn't mean everyone else does. Plus, it's hard to move a console from TV A to TV B.

"I'm against meaningless changes that no one will take use of that just raises the price of the whole package. Innovation is all well and good until you end up drawing yourself in a corner with devices that are rarely used. Was the normal controller confirmed to come with the console?"

Nothing was confirmed, not even the specs, yet. If you like the old controller so much, just buy it, geez. You probably need it for local multiplayer anyways, so it's not a waste.

And in any case, the Wiimote, DS touch Screen and Gamepad WERE used quite a bit throughout their lives. Kinect (and Kinect 2.0) weren't- Nintendo has the advantage of not having a fanbase composed of 'hardcore' FPS players that won't even consider something else over their dualshoock. As in slightly more flexible, because most who are that opposed to change already gave up long ago on Nintendo. 3D on the 3DS was also pretty pointless, but it made things look cooler, I guess.

"It was late as fuck."
They should have made it on launch, true. But still, you can't change the past.

Only thing we can do is hope 6 will be better.

"Meaningless expenditure of money towards anti consumer practices isn't crazy?
Eh, if we have the means to show them we're not children; shouldn't we so we don't have to risk such drastic changes again unless the games was godawful shit from the getgo with the creators giving the green light."

Wahh, I can't fucking pet mai waifu! Why does the world have to be so horrible for me and my first world problems!

And they're treating you like children? Weebs are already manchildren, so whooho on not appealing to 'children'.

BTW, they actually saved money getting rid of a feature nobody liked- is that THAT hard to understand?
Plus, they probably got better reviews- and no casual (most people) fuck would have noticed anyways, and so it was a win-win for everyone except for weebs and hardcore fanboys who JUST NEEDED to PET THEIR FUCKING WAIFUS.

The FE:Awakening Waifu Sim shit was still in there, so it didn't change the direction of the series either.

Do you understand why the FE Fates fiasco people look like fucking idiots now? You brought that BS on yourselves.

Again, if you hate it so much, send a letter to Nintendo and boycott the game, because then they might actually hear your individual wails, and MOVE THE FUCK ON.

I was mad when Kris wasn't in HGSS. But I was also fucking 12 and just played Pokemon Crystal on my handmedown GBA.

Grow up, please. You aren't the center of the fucking world.

"Rearranged plot is still there, you just have to find out the correct order while the change in mood and story of a video game involves you having to either import or find and reread the script if you bought it fully expecting something else. Plus I imagine it's a lot harder rearranging programming than episodes so the way I see it; it's as close as they can get to that without turning the discs into coasters and cartridges into dominoes."

A rearranged plot WILL confuse the average watcher and fuck up everything in the show's story. The average, casual watcher WILL likely end up confused- while a slight change in dialogue and mood on characters YOU MAY NOT EVEN USE ANYWAYS will NOT confuse the player and is NOT noticeable, until someone goes into the translation and nitpicks every little bit.

Also, I love how you're comparing the worst example of Treehouse Translation in the modern day to what is considered one of the best in the 4Kids Translations, (mainly since it was already '4Kids' and shit, meaning there wasn't much to fuck up).

Want to be on an even playing field of comparisons? Compare One Piece's 4Kids 'translation'.

Plus, if you read the link more, they also removed 3+ episodes from airing in the USA (though one was pretty fucked up), so yeah, your argument simply falls apart.

"The game would only really attract fans of Japanese horror so they might know something. I've never played a Fatal Frame myself though I have always been interested in trying it since I'm a fan of horror. Tecmo's just weird."

Did anyone in the USA even play Fatal Frame? Probably no one in Japan either, since home consoles don't sell there anymore.

"Not even for the Pokemon threads for a chance of a pic you never saw? Gamergate uses everything given to them as ammo especially since they believe there shouldn't be any kind of censorship; even if they don't like the material."

What pics?

I know that, but there were bigger fish to fry. And it actually seemed it was less GamerGate and /v/ going apeshit than hardcore FE weebs going apeshit.

I can understand why it was a GamerGate issue. The fact it blew up out of porportion of the size of the issue is what makes me facepalm.

"Isn't what's done with Pokemon all on Gamefreaks plate?"
Nope, the franchise is split into 3 among Gamefreak, Nintendo, and the Pokemon Company.

""no monetary reason to add it back"
It's old school bait. Had it been left in; they would've had my money among many others and keeping in content is a way to stay in fans good graces so it's an investment."

So you didn't buy FE:Fates just because of a few character changes and lines?
Eh, your loss I guess.
I don't understand, but if you're so passionate, sure.

Honestly, FE X Weeb Simulator probably turned off most FE fans than the FE Fates 'Censorship'. Just look at their like to dislike ratios on Youtube.

Turns out most FE fans are NOT weebs, and only the vocal minority are. And you try to appeal to the majority, not the minority, of your fanbase. Just simple corporate logic.

"Last I heard; FF14 relaunch is a WoW knockoff with its major flaws of reliance on making your weapons outmoded with each update, raids, and  nothing much in the way of exploration (I'd murder for a MMO with a focus on exploration that has a cute look to it).
There's only been two MMOs I've had an interest in, Project NT and DQX; one's likely dead and latters been thrown out again to bait fans interest. I'd say Black Desert but that was pretty much just interest in its character creator and they hugely fucked up bringing that over."

Eh, not too big on MMOs myself, but I know most people do. To the point where Dorkly made a comic stating that the main reason for such a thing not existing would be that society would collapse since people would ONLY ever play Pokemon.

"Plus, you seemed to be the kind that cares more about power."
Nah, I just a large variety of games untainted by the Sanfran clique.

Most I've been around have upgraded to an HD tv but then I guess not many of them kept the old box tv like I did. I thought both college students brought their own TVs. There's also a way to use a computer screen.

"Just because you live in a relatively wealthy suburban household"
Let me stop you right there

Would've been great but nope; sales and clearance helps along with not upgrading everything whenever something new comes out; had my boxset up til last year. The brunt of my games came from value city bins as a lump Christmas present, I only had about one toy a year before video games, didn't get any real source of sweets til high school and all the houses I've lived in were shitty to a certain level with the current house I'm living in being good at trapping in cold during winter so in the time leading up to the frozen hell, it can be warm outside while being freezing where I sleep.

"3D on the 3DS was also pretty pointless, but it made things look cooler, I guess"
From what I've heard, it was a cheap and easy way to avoid having to use a better screen to make for graphics.

It's petting waifus in a game that is only known for its waifus; there's no way in hell no one wanted it. When it comes to shit like this, it's better to have and not use than to have and want. I don't like panty shots and like the censored versions of outfits in Bravely Default but I'll still fight for and against them because it will always eventually lead to something I actually want being changed for the worse. Imagine all that bold.

It's a Nintendo IP that was already well known because the one before it got the series known so the usual shitty reviewers wouldn't have had any real effect on the numbers.

"MOVE THE FUCK ON"
You do realize I've only been responding to what you say after the initial start; if you want it let go, don't talk about it but whenever it comes to censorship, that shit will always be brought up since it's like the holy grail of ammo of the most recent games with Gunvolt coming in second.

"You aren't the center of the fucking world"
Neither are the localizers but I'm not forcing others into my own interpretation of something I didn't have a hand in; I only wish for people to actually give enough of a shit to fight whether they like something or not.

The common watcher of Kirby wouldn't have noticed it, I didn't, maybe it was because you were already heavily invested in the character and as such was paying far more attention than the other kids who only really knew him from Smash and just wanted to watch cartoons.

"What pics?"
Pokemon fanart with the uncommon plump pics though such threads are filled with landminds if you're not lucky enough to come across one with an absence of furry spammers.

"The fact it blew up out of proportion of the size of the issue is what makes me facepalm."
Waifu's are serious business; makes me happy I seem incapable of having a waifu.

"Nope, the franchise is split into 3 among Gamefreak, Nintendo, and the Pokemon Company"
Always figured Pokemon Company was just subsidiary that just managed the IP under one of the two companies.

"So you didn't buy FE:Fates just because of a few character changes and lines?"
I had an interest in trying the series since my cousin likes it and with everyone seeming all hyped but then I saw all the text changes and couldn't stomach the idea of paying money for something that sounds like it would come across as juvenile to kids themselves (the ones not trying to act all grown up). I was thinking of grabbing the fan translation and checking it out then but I lost all interest in that time frame. My tolerance for this stuff was spent with what SE did with the Dragon Quest DS ports and the fact I got stuck with bouts of thinking in puns for almost a year. Half the fun of RPGs is getting to know the world and people; with that muddled up, I may as well go look for something else in the genre.

"Just look at their like to dislike ratios on Youtube"
Made me enjoy the fact I haven't bother with either series so I could find full enjoyment in making fun of it. How do you end up with that from combining a series that's known for your units staying dead in a war you're fighting and a maybe grim dark post apocalyptic game?
The moral of the story is never advertise a game as a crossover til you got everything down on paper; otherwise just say it's a company collaboration.

Who says they can't be weebs and be offended by Idolshit at the same time?

If they made a Pokemon MMO and it was F2P, the server issues at launch would be legendary. It would be so enjoyable watching people freakout trying to get in and then huddled in the corner; shaking from withdrawal when they're kicked. I will refrain from trying to get in at all in an attempt to stay out of those miserable numbers at least until everything stabilizes and hope it isn't pay to get through the game.

like FF 13? :3

Just kidding, I know what you mean. It's just that gaming seems to stick to two different categories of Nintendo fans who are nullish on power, and everyone else who's killing each other over who has more RAM or TFLOPs.

What is this, Bit Wars 2.0?

"Most I've been around have upgraded to an HD tv but then I guess not many of them kept the old box tv like I did. I thought both college students brought their own TVs. There's also a way to use a computer screen."

What if you use a laptop? Or an Apple PC (no please no why)? Or you're too fucking lazy to constantly switch between desktop computer and gaming console?

The Switch is even more useful in that regard.

OK, sorry- I was saying that the Wii U is more for people who don't have space (or potentially even money) for a new TV- mostly condo and apartment livers- a good portion of Japan and Europe's population- so there, you have a good answer. Or if you have kids and a Wife both on your 2 TVs at once. That happens.

"The common watcher of Kirby wouldn't have noticed it, I didn't, maybe it was because you were already heavily invested in the character and as such was paying far more attention than the other kids who only really knew him from Smash and just wanted to watch cartoons."

Sure, because it was midway though a season. Unless the next episode comes, and you have to wait 1 year to figure out what happened next for no reason whatsoever.

Exactly. Mods exist for a reason- to keep people marginally happier if the game is bad, or even just having slight issues you don't like. SimCity 4 was shit until mods saved it. Same with SimCity 2013 and Cities Skylines, to a lesser extent.

As I said, stop dwelling on it, and move on. You're not even a fan of FE yourself. You're complaining about something you're not a fan of nor played (anything in the franchise).

""MOVE THE FUCK ON"

Holy grail of ammo? More like an ammo everyone's fucking sick of. Gunvolt? Wut? Not Mighty No. 9 or Yandere Sim?

But I hope we can finally agree 4Kids is not as bad as Treehouse, that was what really got me riled up. Because I faced its horrors first hand.

You're complaining so vigorously about something you have never played a game in once?

Or maybe it was like Sonic Xtreme's development, changing from 3 completely different products though its existence- proof given by the fact it seemed the game would never come out. I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm saying there could be more to the story.

I don't care! (hopefully Pokemon Go taught them something about not skimping on servers, but this is Nintendo, so you're probably right.)

Bleh, accidentally submitted it.

Is when it comes to this.

I don't think sprite work is easier than messing with model data
www.youtube.com/channel/UC6GGb…
You just need to find the right parts and mess with them which you can likely easily learn from someone with the hard part being getting into the game. Spriting on the other hand you'll need to learn how to shade and fatten , and keep it all in proportion on the small body and to my knowledge there's not really any good place to learn how to sprite or properly do fattened ones well with there being very little to study.

No Battle Frontier and XY left a sour taste in my mouth.

Nah, think I found this account from a comment you made.

No one really thinks about the time it takes to go through the gyms. It's when she gains a pot belly out of nowhere from eating a little that it destroys the journey. You can incorporate things that might happen in the areas of the region that you can tie to weight gain like Pokemon abilities/moves, the temperamental technology, you can use its lore against it, issues with evolution stones, etc.

I like to have reasons and plot; if it's just the character going through spurts of gaining and loving it I'd be better off using my imagination (except for asses, I can't imagine a properly fattening ass for some reason).

"And "love getting fat"? huh?"
A character gains a bunch of weight and loves being fat out of nowhere with my past experiences with those kinds of stories being littered with the character making it out to be the hottest thing since sliced bread. If you want the character to be fat not by accident, why not just flip the scales and let it be normal with not really any talk of hyped to be fat when it's not called for.

Borin's a belly man, can never look forward a good tale with a thick tail.

What do you mean?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

CrystalDev In reply to Blitzkrieg-Pariah [2016-11-03 19:21:30 +0000 UTC]

Eh, I guess you're a bit right on that. It's just that there's that much more experience on the GBA hacking, so importing and exporting is a breeze.

Plus, someone might already have made all the sprites for you.

"No Battle Frontier and XY left a sour taste in my mouth."
No proper story, difficulty, and shit soundtrack left a sour taste in my mouth. Battle Frontier was nice too.

But I'm keeping an open mind to Sun and Moon, since it seems to fix a lot of my concerns. Plus, Sun is Villager 2.0.

'Nah, think I found this account from a comment you made."
Where?

"Borin's a belly man, can never look forward a good tale with a thick tail."
Not that much, only slightly.

""And "love getting fat"? huh?"

Yeah, that's a pretty big cliche that sticks the suspension of disbelief out the window.

"I like to have reasons and plot; if it's just the character going through spurts of gaining and loving it I'd be better off using my imagination (except for asses, I can't imagine a properly fattening ass for some reason)."

Would it logically be a more of a curve (lol) towards liking it/accepting it?

Didn't the Lyra storyline, Silver/Lyra Storyline, Leaf/Red, Leaf/Kris, and Dawn Expansion storylines have a bit of a handwave for that (radio waves, whatever the hell Kris shoved into Silver's arm, and berries for the Leaf and Dawn Expansion stories), and the May/Brendan storyline have a properly spaced story? Like that?

I can see the possibility of it getting a better story and soundtrack but what I heard of the trials being about finding something makes the outlook for G7 being more of a challenge bleak to me.

I don't know if he's expanded his views on the female form in his most recent works since I haven't bothered reading his recent stuff since they are of series I don't really care about.
He calls Roxie pear shaped at one point but I don't see much of any mention of anything but her gut: borin23.deviantart.com/art/Pok…

"Would it logically be a more of a curve (lol) towards liking it/accepting it?"
Yeah if you can pull it off but nowhere near gloating sack of fat levels unless the character is an egotist from the start.

Radio Waves causing subliminal messages that nudge people into overeating is a nice one but not at full on brain washing levels. The berries are usually ill used; causing massive amounts of weight with no real reason as to why they're like that and/or why the trainer doesn't notice them but yes, those are what I was thinking of.

Huh. Well, you know where to find Yumon now? Do you like the chapter fragment I posted? What do you think should be improved from it?

"I can see the possibility of it getting a better story and soundtrack but what I heard of the trials being about finding something makes the outlook for G7 being more of a challenge bleak to me."

It might not be bad, like Banjo Kazooie, though. I'll probably wait for the reviews to come in on it. The game is suppose to be a lot more story-based (according to the makers) and the soundtrack so far pushes X/Y FAR out of the water.

Plus, Mallow is bae, so if it ends up sucking, at least it'll be more bearable.

"I don't know if he's expanded his views on the female form in his most recent works since I haven't bothered reading his recent stuff since they are of series I don't really care about.

Borin seems to be a bit more open on that nowadays. Or maybe it's because I concentrate mostly on non-belly gain. Or maybe it's because everyone else is so belly-focused, it seems that much less belly-focused. Or all 3.

""Would it logically be a more of a curve (lol) towards liking it/accepting it?"
Yeah if you can pull it off but nowhere near gloating sack of fat levels unless the character is an egotist from the start."

Define sack of fat? Blob? Immobile? Because that's probably not happening here- with the sacrifice of some realism.

I think the berries were often used for 'expansion', not necessarily slow WG. I'm a lot more tolerant of that stuff, but still.

problem is that I can't really use any of those.

Quoting from my message to another guy:

"Playing off by memory (not looking at my notes) the basic plotline would be that my 4 protags would be traveling though and uncover a conspiracy among Team Rocket, the president, and the "Elemental Trainers", an infamous but mysterious group of extremely powerful religious fanatics.

And then one of the protags would be captured into their ranks due to her talents. Then SHTF.

Which is why I said that is was going to get fairly dark. The 1st half or so is pretty normal."

Hmm?

"Define sack of fat?"
A fat character, the way I worded it just goes better with the picture I was trying to convey of a irritating fatass that's full of themselves.

"problem is that I can't really use any of those."
You could use Bill using a character and a grass type as test subjects with a new transferring method he's developing but when they finish and the trainer and her Pokemon leave, what no one has noticed is that the transference of the two left the trainers body having copied the grass types ability of Solar Power.

A damaged Keystone leaving traces of the Pokemons characteristic of loving to eat in its trainers head.

A mischievous Ghost or Psychic type that swaps aspects of trainers personalities to see what happens.

Ah, so OCs mixed in. Will the OC gangs objective be making all Pokemon stronger by using something to put out a ton of energy so they can grow past their limits with it having adverse effects on humans from the fact they're distant cousins to Pokemon?
