Thanks, I'm really proud of my stage lists and am so excited to see them, for the most part, filling up nicely. If only someone could figure out how to rip maps from KH1 then my life would be complete.

Oh man, I wish there were more maps from KH1. That would make my freaking life. I'm writing a story actually and I'd love to make more pics based off of the KH1 portion. But, alas. Maybe someday...

Saaaame. Before I discovered MMD, I'd spent several years working on a Kingdom Hearts based story and most of the established scenes I've planned out take place in Kingdom Hearts 1 worlds. After talking around with others, none of the known stage ripping processes work with KH1, but maybe some day there will be something that works.

Dang, that sucks about the ripping processes. But with my story I've got stuff all over the place lol. There's a few scenes in my gallery already. I need to redo some of them though bc I've updated my models a lot since i started working with MMD last summer. But my story literally spans all of the games and it's huge. The document I have it in is... 49 pages at this point XDD It's a huge WIP tho so no publishing anywhere just yet

Yeah, my story has greatly expanded over the years and I have written out many separate scenes that I need to find some way of reconnecting. But basically my plan had my two OCs meeting during post CoM when Sora is sleeping and intersecting around KH2. But each character has her own story before that and my KH OC has KH and CoM basically planned out, just need to get around to writing it all. And there's some pre-BbS stuff with another character that, again, acts as a prequel to my KH story. Basic plot is figured out for most of my stories (though the timeline seems wonky when I try to explain it this way since I keep working backwards). Plus with each game that comes out I have to tweak it a little because I'm trying to keep it as canon as possible.

Anyway, I'm in the process of making my first OC, but I keep flip-flopping between my fairy, my KH OC, and Rei (from my comic) as I run into difficulties with each. But I'm hoping to get some work done this weekend and make my first model so I can start working on comics :D

Ooh, good luck with the model! It's tough starting out, but practice is your best friend.

My girls came a long way from their early days when i first made them up in 2008. Their story is so much better than back then, mostly bc I actually know what happens in the games lol. I know what you mean about tweaking though. I've had to make a lot of changes to things bc of learning things about canon. Some places though I'm like "screw canon lol" and I do my own thing. Like I've added a world of my own creation that appears in both BbS and KHII, bc that's where my girls are originally from. Doesn't really derail the story, just adds to it a bit. Also I like to pull things from the manga and the novels that I like too, so there's that XDD. I've already extended Kairi's stay in Twilight Town a good bit. I do have a basic overarching plot figured out and a good deal of it written up, but the vast majority of the story is still in my and my sister's heads (since her OC is in it she helps me with stuff that involves her). But writing stories is so much fun and I hope you and I both finish our stories someday!

Yeah, I can add hair onto models just fine for the most part. But adding clothing that follows the model is proving more difficult. I'm trying to do as much as I can on my own so I'm not crippled into relying on tutorials too much, but I may end up looking at a few before the weekend is over.

lol I remember the first time I used my KH OC was on a rp-forum and wow what a mess I see whenever I go back. Not only my writing style but even a lot about her has changed. I still have her from Destiny Islands but I've really developed her personality throughout the series and she has a lot of growth potential the way I've worked magic in for her ( as well as other things that are too complicated to explain without going into great detail). I'm really excited to write all her important character development scenes (most of which are planned out in my head, just have to find the right words to describe them). So canon things like in BbS when Aqua and Terra visit the Islands, was like omg what does this mean for my character and Riku knowing about other worlds? Cause in KH1 he mentions he wouldn't know about other worlds if it weren't for Kairi, but he actually knew about it when Terra came and since the games didn't come out in chronological order, there's no sure way of knowing if Riku actually forgot about Terra or didn't say anything to keep his promise since when that game came out there was no Terra -- I'm rambling a bit on that but that was like woah plot twist. And then the thing with Aqua and Kairi made me kinda mad cause I had a similar thing wirrten for my character that'll now seem like I'm copying that since I wasn't able to get my story posted before that game came out, but I honestly had no idea of the similarities until after I already decided my story.

And like you said, there are certain canon things I'm planning to overlook that kind of interfere with my story's timeline. Still not sure what I'm going to do for some scenes because before DDD, I had extra worlds planned for KH2 timeline where my characters visit the TWEWY characters in their own world and have several scenes actually written there but I dunno, maybe I can still use for a comic or something once I get my models. And I tell my sister a lot about my story too and she helps me come up with lots of little ideas and let's me know if anything is a little too ridiculous or ends up being too unoriginal. For instance, I have a fairy character and I was trying to come up with a creative way for her to communicate to my character cause her presence is kind of complicated and one of my suggestions had my sister going 'No. That sounds exactly like Tinkerbell'

I'm hoping now that I'm in an active community and talking about it and working with MMD that I'll be more inspired to keep writing and actually put my work out there and out of my notebooks. And I wish you luck with your story as well!

If you need help with rigging clothing, there's a wonderful plug-in that I use called weight transfer, and it literally can transfer the rigging of a base model to clothing parts so they move properly. Makes my work a lot easier. There's a link to a download and tutorial in my favorites under the "Tutorials" folder if you'd like to check it out. Tutorials actually kind of save my work sometimes bc even though I'm kinda good at working things out for myself there's a limit to that XDD

Ooh, that all sounds really interesting! Yeah, there really is no way of knowing how much was already planned in advance since the games didn't come out chronologically. But that's where headcanons can come in as well. Also we do have creative license since it's fanfiction and all. There's a bit of wiggle room even while keeping it close to canon. I actually had to change a lot from my original ideas, so much that I kind of forgot what I first came up with For example, I wanted my OCs to end up on the Islands without copying Kairi exactly, so I ended up having Ven rescue them from Unversed on their world, then have it destroyed so he takes them with him to the Land of Departure, and then all three of them get sent to the Islands by Terra, and Ven leaves them there so they'll be safe. And ooh, definitely keep those TWEWY scenes tucked away somewhere, that'd make for a great comic idea!

My sister and I bounce ideas off of each other all the time. She's actually writing the entirety of 358/2 Days and the first half of KHII herself because it doesn't really involve my characters and gives more room to focus on hers. I, in turn, get all of KH1, 3D, and the small segment of BbS where my girls appear, plus I get to elaborate on Kairi's part in KHII, and also an entire extra story where one of my OCs takes a different Mark of Mastery exam after Sora and Riku finish theirs. We're doubling up on the 2nd half of KHII since both of us have characters to focus on there, and most likely will on KHIII as well once that comes out and we know what to do. We do a lot of writing together so it works in our favor ultimately. We're not really doing CoM itself at this point bc none of our characters are there, but we've got some extra scenes for on the Islands during that timeframe. I'm getting excited for it all again just talking about it XDD

Ooh, I'll definitely look into that once I get back into making my OCs. Right now I'm re-naming all these files I found for my sister so she can better organize the textures to use and edit for this book model she's been working on. Her account is Sora0966 if you wanna check it out, but she's taken a book model and retextured it from editing screenshots from a DS game called Avalon Code and I suggested to make more pages. She doesn't know how to actually add more pages with bones to the book, but I suggested making multiple versions by applying different textures to the pages she already has so I'm trying to find important pages for her.

Yeah, I kind of like that Terra and Aqua visited them and after getting to that point in the game, after my initial freakout of omg what do I do, I got a basic idea of how it goes down. Just needed to work on timing, because my character set before BbS time (actually set her story up based on her daughter - one of my two main OCs - age and after lining it up with BbS her story literally ends as BbS begins which I thought was so funny. But anyway, that character meets my KH OC on Destiny Islands before Aqua and Terra show up so it messed with my story a little because she wasn't supposed to know about other worlds except from my character but I think I've made it work out.

But that's cool how your OCs had a story of how they ended up there. My leaving my OC on Destiny Islands is just cause that's originally where I had her since on the rp site that's where the others rp'ing as Sora, Kairi and Riku were and I felt like the Islands didn't have enough girls lol. That OC also has a sister but I haven't done much with her except pregame KH1 stuff because I was thinking she just disappeard with the rest of the islanders, but I'm wondering if I should give her more purpose and have her wandering around somewhere looking for her sister.

And that's cool that you both participate in the writing. Between my sister and I, I'm more of the writer but talking about it is a lot of fun for me too to get ideas and stuff. Or when I'm struggling with coming up with believable plots or find holes in my own story and I panic to her like omg how do I fix this problem that I didn't realize has been a problem for a year until I got to the point in the story where it matters and I realize I do, in fact have a problem? As far of CoM, for me, my character kinda follows Sora through Kingdom Hearts (trying to get her to flip flop between Sora and Riku and also keeping her in all the scenes I want, which is kinda hard lol) and my CoM plot, I think, has really developed into something interesting because I've put a lot of thought into making it work and have several pages of writing explaining how it works without sounding like a mary-sue because at first glance, my plot there kinda seems to be like that, but it stems from something that happened to my OC as a child that she didn't realized affected her - which sounds really confusing without knowing the full plot, but when I do finally get everything written, I don't want to have given too much away. But CoM is really important to my character for a couple of reasons that helps to drive her and set her off on her quest after Sora goes to sleep. 

I understand what you mean about getting excited, I love talking about my stories and all the ideas that've been swirling around in my head for I don't even know how long. But finally having people other than my sister to talk to makes me even more motivated to write. Even if I'm being more discrete about what actually is going on because I don't want to give too much away and/or have someone take my ideas because I'm too slow at writing. Not that I'm saying you would, but since this conversation isn't private, anyone could come look at what we're saying (though I think when they see our massive replies they'd turn and run because of how much text is going on here lol)

XDD Yeah, massive walls of text tend to scare people away lol. And whoa, your sister's work is incredible. My sis doesn't actually work with MMD. She's really good with GIMP though. Also colored pencils. She's 7StarsOfBoredom .

It's a real trip trying to fix things story-wise when canon manages to mess things up. But it looks like you've done a great job of that ^^ One thing that I've found is a huge help for organizing characters and their individual stories is Charahub. The site's a bit unstable due to old code that new systems sometimes can't handle, but other than that it's been a great help for me to keep track of everything. They're working on a new version of the site as well so hopefully the instability won't last for much longer ^^ Lol I'm just a fountain of recommendations today.

I totally understand being secretive about stuff. I haven't really revealed the majority of my story to the masses either. Just whatever I've made pictures of lol. I decided to have Ven be a part of their story because he canonically never physically interacts with any of the kids in BbS so it felt fair to me. Esp since Aqua meets all 3 of them. And because of that overall there's gonna be some early knowledge of the BbS trio bc I don't care if the girls were 4 years old, you don't forget something as traumatic as all that happens in that part.

Yes, writing motivation is good. But sleep is also good. And it's 11:24 pm here so I'm going to crash. Good night ^^

Haha, she's really picky about her work, which is partly why she doesn't have more in her gallery. All of the TWEWY pictures she's working on are from the game and she likes adding those background images, but also has to crop out the original characters without damaging the background too much. She started after me once she saw how into it I was getting, so it's nice to have someone to learn the program with cause we're both so new to it. Your sister has nice work as well. c:

That charahub sounds really interesting, I'll have to check that out when I have time because I think it'll come in handy. I really need something to keep up with my characters. Because a lot of the times I'll just start writing pages and pages about their personality, how they think, and how they've developed to make sense of their progression and kind of justify the changes I've made. Two of my characters are very similar, personality wise, so I made charts and wrote very detailed personality traits and spent several pages explaining their differences to prove to myself they aren't the same person because in given situations they would act differently. But the reason I started that was because I was worried they were too similar, but I think at this point they're each developed their own quirks that they are distinguishable as their own personalities now.

Yeah, I was kind of disappointed Ven didn't have any interactions with them, aside from indirectly with Sora. So I think it's a cool idea to be able to include him. I'm kinda frustrated my oldest OC's story ends before BbS because she won't get to have any interactions with them during that storyline, though I may try to have her visit their world pre-BbS or see if I can adjust my timeline a smidge, but I need her story to happen early enough for another main storypoint for my KH OC so I don't know if there's much I can do. But my OC's interactions with Terra and Aqua are so small and after the events of my other character visiting her (though she doesn't remember that) I think she'll remember fragments of it, but she has such a wild imagination she might think it was just another dream -- haven't totally decided yet.

And no worries about needing sleep. I actually fell asleep before you responded because I was so tired lol, but it was nice talking to you and sorry if I kept you up. XD
