Yes I have. It's a pretty good horror story. It's by the same dude who wrote Candle Cove and apparently he did a bunch of other stories too.


REAL SLEEP with its weird procedure and pseudoscience is actually one of my favorite Local58 episodes. Did you know the part where it makes you focus on a spot between two faces is based on an actual experiment involving how facial features distort when viewed in peripheral vision?

yes i noticed that!! i watched a video of the flashed face distortion effect and holy fuck its so scary The faces look so horrifying and creepy but when you focus on one side you realize theyre just normal. crazy how nature make dat

i found Show for Children to be the scariest because of the visuals..like...theres so many subtle things, like at a part where Cadavre is walking and the moon has stopped smiling, you can actually see the moon move in front of a tree Cadavre walks by
and at the end where the moon is peering over cadavre, the camera is just looking at the roof of the cave, not the sky, which means the moon just. Came in there. It MOVED
also the fact you dont see the entirety of the moon in that last bit just horrifies me for some reason. like it clearly has facial features but you dont see the whole thing and thats somehow worse

tl;dr i am never looking at the moon again

oh definitely, it was like it was alive and moving, and biology occuring in places it reaaalllyy shouldnt be as always been scary to me
like, i am occasionally plagued by the fear that ill reach into my computer to clean it one day and ill touch flesh instead of computer parts. ungodly irrational i know but i just be like that
i dunno if people find the Things-Being-Alive-When-They-Shouldnt-Be trope as scary as i do but its pretty much up there on the list of things that scare the living soul out of me (that and ...teeth , for some reason?)

I think the more unsettling part of the Moon is that it was called HIS THRONE and had what looked like a city on it... And that it appeared to fucking teleport and become bigger... And then it vanished.


Well there is some validity to your fear I guess- you could reach into your computer and find bugs and, if it's big enough, rats.

im actually not that scared of bugs anymore!! most people grow up to fear/disgust them but ive gone through a lot of exposure therapy (all self-inflicted, because i hate myself) and im to the point i actually enjoy holding insects now.. the rest of my family is still scared of them though so i am usually the one whos given the responsibility of humanely removing any bugs that wander into our home

my older sister once had a cute little outdoor roach in her room and she FLIPPED out and was like LUKE HELP ME PLEASE and she was freaking out and i had to go into her room and get the bug to crawl on my hand and i had to very carefully walk downstairs and to the back door so the roach didnt decide to just start flying

also i tend to try and pick up every insect i see when im in the woods and my sister has to convince me not to because they might be poisonous. i still dont listen and i swear im gonna die one day because i just couldnt resist touching a buggie boi

rats however.. i might be scared of those if i saw one irl but otherwise theyre so cute

I think the wildest fact is that we domesticated rats at all and the fact that once an animal is properly domesticated it just sort of develops several 1000 varieties thanks to selective breeding by humans over time

Well there is KIND OF an ending for Minecraft (beating the Ender Dragon and leaving The End after doing so) and it can be reached, so I guess therefore it can be speedrunned.

I always forget theres an End Dragon cuz i play with so many mods and spend countless hours doing dumb shit like collecting flowers like im some sort of gay baby or getting chased by giant fire-breathing dragons or punching an ogre in the leg and i just kind of forget theres an actual Final Boss....an actual Point To The Game....

also theres different categories for speedruns, some involve getting to & killing the Ender Dragon as fast as possible, some involve getting all achievements, some involve doing everything without glitches, its crazy i never thought Minecraft speedrunning would be a thing

I just try to build buildings and redstone mechanisms, but I did fuck with mods a lot at one point. I keep thinking I'll do so again at some point but never get around to it.

My favorite mods ever were shit like that one mod that added spears and black powder weapons (Balkon's Weapons I think?) And this other mod that added a shitton of metals like Copper, Silver, Manganese etc. Those felt to me like natural expansions on things that are already in the game.


After those two I favored this other mod that added airships and after that an honourable mention goes out to various mods I tried that added biomes and new critters and shit. I remember one that added Scorpions you could tame and ride.


The main problem for me is that mods are/were usually behind the current versions... and I'd really like to see the stuff added in the latest versions- the stuff they've added to the villages in Village and Pillage and the stuff they added to the Oceans in their last big update seem really great and I would like to experience those thanks.

I play 1.12.2...My favorites are Mo Creatures, Ice & Fire which adds DRAGONS!! and cool ones at that, not lame ones like the Ender Dragon. It also adds like a shitload of really cool and surprisingly stable mobs (u can take a looky here: ice-and-fire-mod.fandom.com/wi… to see what i mean. ) The Sirens are super cool cuz theyll be singing on some rocks and if you get too close theyll start pulling you in but no lie you can craft EAR PLUGS so youre immune to their magic or whatever. Truly genius

I also like Fossils and Archeology which just VERY recently released for 1.12.2 after what i think is literal years of being exclusive to 1.7.10. It adds dinosaurs and shit and Im starting to think I really like scaly things

It has a lot of dumb shit like im having an issue with fire dragons spawning like every 100-1000 blocks but i think you can change spawn rates in the config so its not that big of a deal

I try to do cool things with redstone but it always end up with me very angery and undoing everything i did
