So, I've noticed in your fic that Archer and the gang are headed towards Markarth. Β Gonna be a wild ride, what with the forsworn there. Β I'm curious; what's your opinion on the forsworn conspiracy? Β Personally, I can sympathize with the cause, just not the people. Β

Technically they've already reached Markarth. But to answer your question, I think I'm in the same boat as you. I can understand if they want their land back, but they're basically acting like terrorists.

Frankly, I'd think savages is more accurate. Β They strike me as the type of people who'd feel insulted and slaughter you wholesale if you even dared question their beliefs, and don't quite grasp WHY people persecute against them in the first place (Again, they strike as a culture that'd be be likely to murder you on the spot for trying to suggest they mitigate their beliefs and keep things civil.)

Fasendil might have a chance of appearing since Team Dragonborn will be dealing with the Imperial Legion in the future. Not sure about Runil, though.

Something occurred to me recently. Β In your fic, what other holds do you plan to have Archer become thane of? Β
Also, will he be doing the daedric quest involving the idiot from the mythic dawn museum? Β Because there is an issue that occurred to me when doing the quest, one that gives me pause for thought of sparing Silus and makes me seriously consider killing him and completing the dagger, even if I'm playing a good character.

I don't really plan to have Archer become Thane of any more Holds. I figure that he would have time for that sort of thing after dealing with Alduin and deciding to settle down, but not so much before that. Solitude was the exception.
And concerning the daedric quest, I don't really have any plans for Archer doing it. At this point, I don't think he's even going to visit Dawnstar. But I'm still curious about what you have to say.

Well, strictly speaking, I think I might have red it from elsewhere on the net, but I think it's still something to consider. Β
Silus (the idiot) is planning to put the pieces razor/assembled razor in a museum .
I repeat.
He is planning on putting a known daedric artifact of immense power, crafted by the instigator of the Oblivion Crisis, into a display case in museum . Β A museum that he endorses by handing out pamphlets to anyone who might even be the least it curious. Β This most likely including less than savory types, who would likely be very interested in acquiring said deadly razor, after confirming that Silus actually was stupid enough to advertise it . Β How do you think this would end for him, or potentially the entirety of Dawnstar? Β He might be decent mage, but that's basically NOTHING when facing highly trained assassins - heck, even a bandit raid might be all that's needed.
Β This isn't even mentioning what the Vigilants of stendarr, who were more or less created directly in response to to Oblivion crisis might do to him what word reaches their ears, or how the Empire might react to the fact that someone is trying to gather VERY DANGEROUS artifacts from one of the most infamous cults in Tamriel's history, the cult that is more or less directly responsible for the empire's current state in the first place.
Silus isn't just your regular, garden variety idiot. Β He's the idiot with a neon sign blazing over his head, one that says "KILL ME NOW, WHILE I'M STILL TOO DUMB TO REALIZE HOW BAD OF AN IDEA THIS IS."
Yeah, it's about looking at the potential long term consequences of his actions, something that Silus is too short sighted to see. Β At least with the dragonborn, assuming he doesn't go about bragging about it afterwards, it's safest in his/her hands (and even then, if the dragonborn is trying to be good, at least he/she can hide it somewhere that'll at likely severely delay it's re-discovery)

Good point there. Though perhaps just a getting a very stern and serious warning from the Dragonborn would be enough to scare him into hiding the fragments for good and avoid needing to commit murder.

Perhaps, but his conversation with the court wizard of Dawnstar revealed quite a stubborn streak to him, in addition to his rather fanatical devotion to his families history. Β He might not listen. Β Besides, he could simply lie to get the dragonborn off his case.
Besides, it's kinda hard to pull that off in game. Β Unless there's a mod, or you're willing to use console commands to effectively cheat the game.
