How do you preserve an etch a sketch anyways and how on earth did you make that because I am awful at etch a sketches. xD

Sorry for the late response! I've been holding onto this for a few days now, waiting for a good moment where I could give you a detailed explanation.

There are multiple methods in preserving an etch a sketch, but the method I've been using is creating a hole in the back of the unit (usually by drilling) and draining it of the powder that erases it. After making sure that it is completely drained, I seal the back and then I would remove the knobs and hot glue them back on so that nobody could turn them.

I have been using an etch a sketch as an artistic median for the past 16 years. I started playing with one when I was 4, and pretty much never stopped xD

There is one favor I have to ask of you if I send this: I was hoping that upon sending you could take a photo of the piece. I have never sent a preserved piece in the mail before, and I am interested to know how it fares. Also, I would love to see a photo of it on display! Out of curiosity, are there plans to videotape the museum display on its journey to different cons?

Of course you can get pictures of it after its trip.

And Everfree Radio plans to video tape / livestream the entire BronyCon convention so you will be able to see it there. I personally will most likely be doing some documenting of my own as well.


Also, if you end up attending Trot Con in July, the TPM will be there and it would be awesome if perhaps you would come and make a sketch live, if you attend and that is alright with you of course.

I'd love to do a live sketch. Columbus OH is a bit far away though--not sure if I can make the trip out there. But luckily I've got time to make plans, so mayhaps!
