Countless people love him and many might not for whatever reason. It really is pointless to ponder the opinions of the masses of totally unknown people, especially when they are mostly little kiddos whose minds shift like a wind. Definitely pointless to give a single flying fuck about such. There will always be masses and masses of people who disagree... that is life.
Mature art really seems to be in a shadow because of the young fanbase and it is what it is. It is very good thing that kiddos don't read adult stuff and that they browse DA with their mature filters on. There are always adult exceptions to the rule.
As i wrote before, just do what you like to do and love it. If masses don't agree, who cares.

Cats don't give a fuck, be more like a cat.
I will much rather write what i love and have very few who read it than to create some shit that i really hate and be the most popular writer in the world.

I'm glad to read that you are happy.
Although i don't know her that well, i know that she only hates corruption in Zootopia and not the characters. Still, she sure draws heavy and dark fates for the heroes of the movie.

hey
No, sorry... switching characters into other realms and giving them superpowers just doesn't click with me, realism and conceptuality towards this world does. Mixing humans with anthros and vice versa is also a definite no for me.
Also Nick's lethal rage and Judy's willingness to die just for a lie does not work, feels so anticlimatic and forced for such great characters that are perfect as very close friends.
I got inspried by a pic that would make a great sequel material and wrote a short but nice one :

Friendship is a two-way lane, it doesn't matter what I think unless he says yes or no and vice versa.
If he wants to be my friend, or vice versa, we'd have to come to each other and be ourselves to each other. I have no problem with being myself, but not everyone is okay with that and I respect that but unless he's showing his true self we can not be true friends.
TL;DR
If he wants.

One can always ask. She does not hate them but instead certain aspects and things that indirectly relate to characters and institutions presented in Zootopia. As do i.

Not that i know of and if he is referring to bullterrierka, he should know that although she makes raw pictures of violence, it is not done in hate towards the movie of characters but in conceptual sense against that which these characters stand in our world.
Bullterrier likes the movie but wishes it would have been much darker, as do i.

I have seen all these a while ago, they are interesting but definitely not the kind of dark i mean here.
I mean R-18-aged Blade runner/Watchmen-style sever limbs/blow guts to wall/open heads with cleaver-kind of dark animation. Zootopia as a very rich environment with lots of different environments, criminals, gangs, cops, special forces and hapless civilians sometimes in the middle would offer a perfect setting for immortal movies made from such realistic metropolitan lore.

Sure, like a special 'blade runner' unit of police hunting test subject animal group sentenced to be terminated for example. Wonderful twists and lessons of morality and value of life would ensue.
Ninjas or super heroes ? Definitely not my cup of tea. Fragile, mortal and fallible characters and such characteristics are the ones that bring realism, emotion and suspension into action. Tom & jerry-type whack a moles that can't die dramatically decrease suspection factor.

Better but i can't see Nick doing that.
Also, The Jackal by B.Willis-kind of thing would make a nice plot in Zootopia.

Well, that could make quite heartbreaking and nice plot if Judy would have to be one in a team thats hunts him down and finally face and finish tired Nick in a kill me if you really love me-kind of way. Although if Nick would defect, Judy would most likely too so that might make some credibility issues. Much more i would like to see them as partners in police and very close friends and comrades in arms in many bloody and painful adventures at least in three movies and then make their exit together in modern Romeo & Juliet-style ending like this :

Theres so much that could be made into comics but real animation looking as good as Zootopia is where these ideas really belong.

This finale if any needs a full movie of it's own to steer these lovely two towards the inevitable.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=wbNIxx…
Immerse yourself into that lets go-scene with this song, and feel your soul wallow in it with lyrics that fit perfectly as the last thoughts of Judy. It will take these few minutes for her to die and during this she reminisces her many precious, joyful and also cuttingly sad moments with Nick as she holds his lifeless arm. Her last thought is how they can soon finally be one without limitations of biology, breed and prejudice. To be something they both always wanted... something this existence simply did not allow them to be.
In the last frame... she is already with him. Vailing and weeping violins decending... legato... pianissimo... silence.
Pure tragedy gold.

Thanks, i love the vision of something like this as a finale of the last Zootopia-movie. Violin solo in the song is perfect for a peek into Judy's reminiscence. Think about the theaters, people would cry, vail, bawl and agonize watching it in their raging sea of caring and loving sorrow... but they would love it. Love it to the last tear and violin note... to the last visible speck in characters's departing eyes before curtains fall on their past life.... literally love it to the death. Then they would come and watch it again, float into the same watery halls of beautiful, sweet sorrow and love it even more. I know i would.
It would be much sadder if one of them got killed and the other would be left to mourn and suffer.
This kind of imagery would make a perfect Nick's nightmare-material in K18-Zootopia :

There are lots of fine twists and angles but Marvel, it's mutants and superheroes just don't rhyme with me. Watchmen is major exception to above rule because it is dark, bloody and nobody really had any superpowers except Manhattan and even he was outwitted and beaten by a human in the end. 'Heroes' also are very vulnerable, faulty and human. Probably only good superhero movie is old Superman I with it's brilliant actors and even that has plot holes that are literally size of a planet.
Sure Nick has all the abilities of sly villiain but i can't shake it off that see him as a close friend and caring cop partner of Judy with occasional teases, fights and arguments. Must be because he is built to be good at heart in the end of the day.
How about having say an irresistably hot arctic vixen with a heart of ice and at least as much brains as Nick bump into hero duo and watching all those countless delicious who really fools who-twistypies spiced by jealousy and disgreements of Judy to pour in. This vixen would stop at nothing and literally leave no asset unused to ruse, abuse and lure Nick into her leash-which of course is only a part of the bigger plot. Naturally she hates Judy to the bone as a worst threat to her disguise and plot against Nick and would like to kill her as soon, as 'accidentally' but as brutally as possible. Still when in public with Nick and Judy, she would pretend to be her charming and helpful friend. Wonderful plot material for a second movie but suffers so badly if it is made in a child-friendly form.

Actually not much like Bellwether, just one far smarter elite soldier of someone unknown against the status quo of Zootopia.
I like Nick alot too but we are all vulnerable and weak sometimes. I also honestly think that he really shined as a main character in scenes where he outwitted Judy. He actually outwitted Judy much more often than vice versa.
Dunno, i don't see him as a sidekick especially after he joins the force. They are now equal protagonist pair. That waterfall of bad feeling is quite amazing overreaction because it criticises fan fiction which can be just about anything from anyone. One clearly can't like all fanfic there is and i certainly don't but people can create whatever they want. Internet is what it is and visitor needs to get used to it, especially today when there seems to be a troll lurking around every cable junction. I'm sure that is the most kindest version of 'grow some balls willya' that i have ever made.
Here we must agree to disagree then, i like him a more as a cop partner but wouldn't mind as a villiain. As long as it is not that collar for every predator-plot. That i did not like at all. As for some character getting more fans than another, i really could not care less how popular some character is 'out there' or is character x more popular than y. There is absolutely no impact from 'public opinion' whatsoever on my opinion about a character and i really can't understand why in the hell some public metascore would be relevant in any way.
I don't want to believe that people actually are so shallow or thin skinned that they honestly get mad just from popularity ratings of a movie character, even when the character is actually very popular and liked. I mean... how in the hell can such people cope with real life itself if a thing like this throws them in off-balance and in grief ?? Jeez... now thats creepy.

Don't know if he is better off but at least he likes being with Judy and police job in a moral and decent land is not bad. There Zootopia differs so much from this world.
Robin hood-like decent villiain would be perfect in a rotten and corrupted land which at least in the end of the film is not Zootopia. As for taking one character as himself into whole different cinematic realm, i think iiis a little...
Then, in some other universe a fox like him would make a perfect private detective too. Nevertheless, he is happy in the force and thats what counts. Who knows, maybe he will be framed in sequel(s) and gets to be a villiain for a while. He is so much like year 1973 Robin, both wonderful chums. If you like foxes, you love that and Fantastic Mr. Fox. Great movies.
Dare to speak your heart, it is not a crime to disagree. Especially if one has good rationale and reasoning behind one's opinion.

No place is perfect.
Oh it takes far more than that to disturb me but it is very weird idea. Most likely Nick would quickly find Jenny the bullterrier "a bit" tense and give her quite a lot of personal space.

I edited the previous answer, it should clear things. She does not hate the characters but what they represent in our world. She did not quite catch few little easily missable things in the movie's end so everything might not be 100% accurate.
