we all wish we were gifted
but men fancy themselves frescoes
and paint with unbalanced colors
...wha?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

SnowmenLikeToWrite In reply to Desertlion [2012-01-22 22:37:17 +0000 UTC]

And without further ado, the response that took 2 and a half years...

...it was, provocative...

I do like it, all teasing aside - the ever amorphous intermediary between that of a hardened skill-set and that of a nebulous possession is the source of precious grasping for many like myself who "fancy themselves frescoes", but that presumption itself can be derived from arrogance or humility, the ultimate point is that life when viewed through the prism of introspection or manipulation - is murky, nothing is definitive and no conclusion is permanent, we are ever changing and ever searching, our mistakes ever drawn, our avenues of frequency and extrication uncertain.

Genius is a beautified abnormality, but an abnormality none the less, an ailment that eludes us, located across the narrow stream of consciousness from insanity, passion and the cultivation of interest yield more reward - than the casual embrace of "god-given" talent or the inheritance of said talent.

Life moves, doesn't stop - we are gifted, we are richly textured compositions of many colors and many shades, simplifying ourselves and simplifying others, until we reach that wise adage of modulation, implacability, and still interception.

Wha?

I truly applaude your marvelous style and artistic ingenuity, seriously, your work is without a doubt unlike anything i've seen, that's a rare thing, to have a voice and to have a voice that stands apart from the rest.

Your work strikes me as a very accurate extension of you, and that's something very special...

So many times our imagination and subsequently our ideas and trains of creative thought are influenced by the world around us and the artwork that inspires us, not that it is ill-advised to allow things to inspire us and spur us to think differently, but too many times people inadvertantly find themsleves mimicking the work that speaks to them the most, it is a difficult thing, to find a unique voice with which to communicate your most personal and terrifying ideas, and when it comes especially to your drawings and illustrations, I feel you've achieved that, but there's always room to improve.

Thanks for the encouragement, truly appreciated...

You're very welcome!!

I have a new idea cooking in my busy brain so there could possibly be a deviation in the foreseeable future, maybe

Also, let's hope Mr. Morologus-Es (sorry never acquired his name) successfully endures the throes of voluntary homelessness, I for one am lucky in that I can affectively control (barely) my insanity without becoming insane.

It seems he has succombed to the insanity bug, but i'm sure he'll be better for it.

Anyways, you're welcome for the comment and fave.

I'm happy you have a project up your sleeve. I was worried that you might abandon us altogether. I'm sure Austin feels the same.

Morologus-Es is Jamie. The poor fellow has some multiple problems.

I've spoken to him on the phone a few times and found that he is really a wonderful guy (as are most of us crazy people). I only worry because he is not intending to take his medication. I did addiction and life counseling for some years and I know how bad some people can get when off the meds: usually self destructive and delusional. His biggest liability is his intelligence. The fellow is brilliant.

Certainly I'll check out the film. I like DDL too. One of my favs of his is "My beautiful Launderette".

I am looking forward to your new work!

Chowmein.

You're welcome!!

This is going to be a lazy weekend for me so i'll be sure to spend most of it either writing or thinking about writing, and ofcourse wondering when the heck my camera will come back to me

By the way I love that photograph entitled "Residence Evil," I have yet to comment on it so expect a smashing, verbose comment for the ages my friend.

Happy X-mas.

Wow, I surprised myself on that one, being from North Pole kind of drains you're holiday spirit so to speak, what with the never-ending Christmas and all.
