Thank you very much! Actually a friend did ask me if it'd be possible to make a jellyfish. No trouble doing the bell-body, although do you think just having straight hair for the stinging tentacles would be too dull? Hmm, maybe lots of thinner curls?

Forgive me for butting in, but in my personal opinion, jellyfish ones would look awesome with both curly (or crimped) and long straight tentacles together.Β

A combination huh? I'll have to do some tests!

She says she thinks a mixture of thinner curls would be really nice looking. Perhaps consider some crimping or a different color tone of wig fibers for the tentacles? Either way it'd look amazing

Thank you very much! And sure, just let me know if/when you're interested.
I think I need to practice my pony art, haha. And I haven't even tried to make a pony plush. One day I'll get the nerve.

No problem! You create stunning art! Can I ask, do you any pieces on sale in some of the art galleries in Margaret River WA? I was there recently and marveling at some paintings of little row boats. They reminded me so much of your work that I was certain I must have stumbled onto the artist's galley.

Haha! Thank you! Yeah, that was crazy. I only posted it on Arda's Facebook page to show them what I had done with their wigs and then people just ran with it. I guess the Internet just loves cats and octopuses!
I still smaller versions of it but I would love to get back into my plushie making. I will have to get your advice on how to make resin eyes!

Always happy to give advise ^^ ask away.Β
I highly recommend this resinΒ www.polymerclay.com.au/cc760caβ¦
for the eye you will need molds to, the site I linked you has molds as well ^^

Oh that is perfect! I've wanted to make my own moulds (for all those odd-shaped pokemon eyes) but wondered how I could avoid imperfections in the surface and make it as smooth as possible.
I don't suppose you know whether those DIY mould kits are suitable for resin or if they're for clay only? Have you made your own resin moulds before?
π: 0 β©: 1
Sweet-Fox-Wings In reply to deeed [2014-12-03 09:12:14 +0000 UTC]
Β I have not made my own resin molds before and Im not to sure on the DIY molds. I just use the General resin molds, but I have thought about making my own molds. There has to be a way to, but it would be super hard to keep the surface of the mold perfect and smooth for eyes. I know if I get one scratch on my molds it shows in the eyes and I can no longer use that mold.Β

Oh, the resin spray you linked doesn't help fill small imperfections?
π: 0 β©: 1
Sweet-Fox-Wings In reply to deeed [2014-12-03 20:37:23 +0000 UTC]
I was meant to link the resin I use :/ I fail lol no the spray has not worked for my eyes. I think because they have to be flawless so even the slitest scratch and your eye is no good. But that's just me. I can be extremely picky XD
