Ok, acording to the link you posted, what if there is no crediable sorce to start to start with, you can't state where the image has came from if its been shared all over the internet, unless someone carefully noted its location or prepared a bibliography. In which case 9/10 times no-one has...

Then that's the artist's morality that comes into play. Did the artist create that work? Or did they rip it from somewhere? The artist should know what is and what is acceptable, which is where the deviants that have been on this site for years and know what is and what is not acceptable come into play. They're the ones who correct their mistakes, often taking heat for their attempt at a good deed.

So you've seen every picture in every book and every website, gallery, and can distinguish whats original and whats not.

If I were you I'd leave the conversation at that, as you can't possibly come to comprehend something better.. without repeating yourself time and time again..

So were you the creator of the picture Dark-kite posted? I have a funny fealing your answer is going to be... NO!... so why should you care? do you have nothing else to do?
I understand that its fair and should happen, an image being redirected to its original creator, and credit should goto him. So if no-one is there to claim the image otherwise what stops someone using that image? aslong as the acknowledge its not theres, which he did.

P.S. I'll carry this arguement on later, I have more importent things to do...

When you submit works that are traced/stolen naturally people suspect you and don't believe you.
That's why it's never a good idea to submit work that isn't your own.

Still, in which case, the one you reported WAS an ORIGINAL, not STOLEN or COPIED.

I do try, but really, my advise is just for the artist to use a little discretion of what they posted. That way suspicion doesn't arise and people don't unjustly accuse others of copying/being in violation.
