Some background context: It all began when I stumbled upon a Fairy Tail Tabletop RPG when looking for new game systems for my D&D group on discord. Decided to go run with it, and to help me with that, I decided to go rewatch the anime. The unfortunate thing is however that the nostalgia kinda filled my mind with a lot of inspiration for a manga of my own, together with a desire to recreate the good bits of the anime without the bad bits (AKA the friendship is magic bits).
I also started to play Monster Hunter World around this time, so that ended up getting used for further inspiration.

The setting itself is largely dominated by areas of wildlands, ranging from deep jungles and murky swamps, to scorcing deserts and tall snowy mountains. Here rules the dragons, immensely powerful creatures ranging vastly in both shape and size. Human settlements are scattered, isolated, and few, islands of civilization admist a sea of beasts.
However, mankind are not defenseless, for in their defense stands the mages, those that have dedicated themselves to to the study and practice of magic. They band together in magical guilds and offer their services in search of fame and fortune.

The Story itself would follow a small group of mages forming what is known as a five man band in writing terms.
