Hey, miss Maal. Thanks for your kind words on my simple photography. Your poetry's great with the thought of a shining red upright bass and a bald man with washboard percussion added in. I can see it flowing from an improvising blue-dressed chanteuse as well as I can see it coming from a grizzled European teen soldier who hides the fact that he cares. Ausgezeichnet!

Weet je wat ik wel eens zou willen weten?

Als je het KON weten, zou je dan de zin van het leven WILLEN weten?
Ignorance is bliss... toch?

Maar leven in een staat van narcose is ook niet geweldig, en dat kan ik je uit eigen ervaring vertellen. Ik weet al jaren niet wat er om me heen gebeurd, gewoon om het pure feit dat ik het niet wil.
Ik let niet op de rest van de wereld, omdat ik betere dingen te doen heb, die met mezelf te maken hebben.
Dat was mijn zin, dat was waar ik voor leefde, dat was waarom ik leefde.

Echter, de laatste tijd schijn ik steeds meer een sociaal leven te krijgen, en ik haat het. Ik vind het leuk vrienden te hebben, maar mijn prioriteiten zijn zo verdraaid dat lol hebben de zin lijkt te zijn.
En ik denk eerder dat cabaretiers filosofen zijn dan alleen moppentappers. Dus ligt de zin nu in de lol, de liefde, of de filosofie...

Weet je, in denken ligt de oplossing tot alle problemen.

Maar we moeten ons wel realiseren dat ons eigen denken voor alles gaat, want als wij niet weten hoe wij in elkaar zitten, hoe moeten we dan snappen hoe de wereld werkt, toch?
Als we het al zouden willen weten, want, immers, ignorance is bliss...

En dit moest ik gewoon even kwijt.

Thanks for the comment, although i don't know how much i was really trying to symbolise with that picture. I kind of work under the premise of making something which looks interesting as a primary concern. this isn't to say that i'm not trying to make art devoid of meaning (well, at least not all the time) but i like to focus on aesthetics when it comes to art, because i think there's far too many people who can produce something which doesn't look particularilt nice, but still claim it to be "meaningful". That being said, no text, or in the case of art; image, has it's own meaning, that's created by the audience (that's my literature teacher talking vicariously through me) so really, if you saw meaning in what i produced, even if i didn't intend on it, then you've created a meaning for it.

hope i didn't bore you with all that, it's early in the morning and i'm in the mood for crapping on.
