Ohhh!! Is it so? Well, sometimes it feels that  some americans are afraid of sexual expressions. There is also sort of conservatism in England. Victorian style of sexuality.
In other parts of europe is rather free sexuality. Germany and Holland good examples.
Sweden started the sexual revolution in 60ies. Great female emanicipation. Movies wiht erotic content. Lots of discussions about sexuality in media. "Normal" sexuality is very free and no complications. However femdom and S/M had a slower start. Today it is accepted but it is very hard to find a dominatrix in Scandinavia. In USA it might be more accepted and I can see that there are alot of americans girls doing the dominatrix thing. Nice
