She sounds VERY Mary Sue to me just for doing that, besides I don't like female characters. :I
They almost always fall under 2 categories:
1.Mary Sue who needs to be protected.
2.A 'bad ass' that has her heart softened by some dude.

The internets lies so much. It said that a Mary-Sue character is one that is totally needed to be protected and a drama queen. Like "OMG I BROKE MAH NAIL! HELP~!"
Not every female character is like that though.
I read this other story, it's not done, but I don't think this girl can fall under the Mary Sue category.
Beyond the point...
Damn, now I feel that like that story isn't good anymore.
