D8 well yeah... I was born in London, and in order to go to college I have to move back :c i dont have a choice if I want to start my life. BUT I wont be going until 4-5 months c: so itll all be okay!!! well my Okami inspiration is what i meant by "bodily" and my dradient shine is what I mean kinda with the stained glass thing. I want my characters to have a glow about them, kinda like stained glass. thats what I meant. Still, theres one more thing im missing about it > < it feels almost perfect but not tthere yetttttttttttt

oh thats easy. just combine ideas ;;u;; its easy take something like the word "banana: and combine with with "moon", then add a third word like "girafe" and draw a girafe eating a puece of the moon shaped like a bana! the three idea technique >:3

yes but if you actually look at the character select screen abd look art the hand drawn art youll see that that character portraits are actually really sketchy and stuff. >.< ughh idk

Back to the Future was very touching and I can see why its like... whats the word... well its a very unique and touching movie! and the ending has me wanting to watch back to the future II now lol which I will soon enough. As for the techniques I didnt really see what you meant about the blurring, i didnt notice alot of that, but wow that movie has alot of great perspective! ;; is all I can say

I'm glad you enjoyed it~ I just love the character interactions in those movies. I mean Doc and Marty are like one of the LEAST likely combos, but they play off each other so well, it's one of my favorite bromances~ ( in case you don't know, bromance definition: [link] )

I also adore some of the silent moments, like how the timing is just spot on between jokes, or hell, when the silence IS the joke, and the expressions are the punchline! Like in the beginning when Doc is revving up the Delorean in the mall parking lot, and Marty starts inching out of the way, and Doc just looks at him, like "Wait, where do you think you're going?" Priceless~ There's a similar thing in this one deleted scene, which I love: [link]

I should tell you now, BTTF 2 is the least popular of the trilogy, but it's my personal favorite. I hope when you get to "that scene" of BTTF 2, you'll think of me. >\\u//<

I only meant blurring like how sometimes if it was a close-up of a character, the background is kinda blurred. And yeah, the perspectives in that movie are great! Sometimes they're so simple, yet so effective~

Also, you can see a bit of where I get my humor from... Kinda? xD

That was me this morning. :c FIRST OF ALL comparing yourself to others is never a good idea, cuz you'll just end up feeling bad. It's super easy to do, I catch myself doing to too sometimes, but it's not good for ya.

Really though, don't stress out about it. I know it's hard, but someday you'll get up there. You're probably thinking "But I wanna be that good NOW!" Trust me, I know what it's like. It feels awful. Today I was lamenting at my not-that-impressive ability to use colors to soft-shade.

...But you know what? I eventually figured that there was a point in time when those folks were at the same level I am now, and THEY were marvelling at people's works who's skills they hadn't matched yet.

Everyone hits that point in time, and it's up to them to decide keep going. It's the crossroads of ambition, in a sense.

I personally look forward to seeing how your art-style develops into something completely new! C:

...My point is, don't stress. Just take things at your regular pace, and do the best you can in what you love. Maybe 5 years from now we'll both look back and say: "Hey, remember when we had that conversation and you were worried about your art-style? I TOLD you you'd be okay! xD " And then we'll make amazing arty works and maybe do some collabs and make people go WHOA

..okay, maybe I'm getting a little dreamy now. xD

Going out of your comfort zone is good, it means you'll grow into it. c:

I do model rocketry with kids, right? Well the very first time I was at launch control, I was so nervous, that when I got home, I collapsed from the adrenaline overload. I was WAY out of my comfort zone. But the next year, I was like "Yeah, no problem man. That's me. Launching model rockets that, if build poorly, can fail and seriously injure some people. No prob." -dons imaginary shades-

And just tonight I was learning to use the tonfa in karate class for the first time, AND IS IT FELT BAD MAN, cuz I couldn't get stuff right. ;;

My point is, it may feel PRETTY BAD when you first step out of that comfort zone, but once you grow into it, you'll be able to say: "Hey, I remember when I was learning this stuff! God, that was such a pain to learn!" But then you'll KICK IT'S ASS.

Also, most importantly, don't give a crap about what other people think about your art. It's your art, you're gonna do it the way you like! And if you keep at it, you're gonna just keep getting better and better~ c: -hugback-
