You don't save animations as JPEG.. It's supposed to be a GIF file.

I got on PS, on my moms comp, Drew the little dude, hit animation, copied the frame, moved the little dude up on the second frame, with the first frame transparent, pressed play, he goes up and down, hit save, created file Avatar - 1png., uploaded it to dA, added JPEG preview, now it only shows the JPEG preview and not the PNG., jumped back on, saved PNG as GIF, edited old upload, not theres a transparent avatar, he just doesnt move... :I

Oh.

You should have saved it as a PSD file first and then clicked File > Save for Web > and then saved a GIF copy. It isn't supposed to need a preview image :U
