You're welcome! And thank you, she was apart of my schools zoo and is probably about 7 years old. Iguanas are very difficult to keep, gotta have the time and correct care or else they'll end up moody/sick. Who are you getting them from?(same place? WC or CB?).

The ones that I bought were hatchlings, and I think they were captive bred. The others, I adopted, were sub-adults and probably were as well. I have not had one for at least ten years. I did learn a lot about them over the years as far as habitat and feeding. The last one I had was an adopted one, she was at least two years old when I got her and I had her for at least a couple more. when she got sick, despite my care with lighting, food and habitat. I took her to a vet, who gave her an X-ray. He said she was full of tumors and probably wouldn't live out the week. It was summer time, and I didn't want her to die in captivity, so I released her into a large tree on my property. She went straight up and out of site. I didn't see her again until after the first frost, when I found her dead below the tree. She looked healthier than I had ever seen her. In hind site I think she was probably gravid, and I had not provided sand for her to lay her eggs. I never thought about it because she was never with other iguanas, but I think I read about that somewhere.

Well as long as you do your research and make sure everything is correct you should be fine. You learn from your mistakes. Try getting easier reptiles to start off with and when you gain the experience go up to a more difficult level. Sometimes things just don't work out
