I graduated from the University of Miami May of 2011 with a Bachelors of Science in Education; double majoring in Psychology and Human & Social Development. At Miami I received paid work for 2 years as the Staff cartoonist for the Miami Hurricane Newspaper with over 50 newspaper publications. I was also an illustrator and was published in a few magazines like, DISTRACTION and Palmer Trinity. For 2 summers during my undergraduate studies I worked at Island Lake Camp as the Cartooning Instructor and taught groups of children ages 7-16.

whoot! the animation is going to be a mess to make, but its looking like it will be epic when its done XD
its only 25% done, but all the bugs are out in the plan now, so it souldnt take a whole day anymore....i hope. -__-
a few bugs may arise but i think thats expected, the big ones that stoped me from hardly starting are gone XD

i just think you could work on the 3d shapes. you got all this great texture and shadeing, but the head is a circle. sorry. should of said that instead as constuctive critisim..... -__-' i fail.

With my toons- I'm self taught, and now I'm looking for grad schools for animation etc. Ugh, I don't know which schools are good for animation! I want to be the best and I know that's what I need to do. But I don't know where to look... *Stress* lol

yeah, i dont know...
just looked at what i did on the camera, the pictures arnt that bad, and actully desent enough. but i cant figure out how to get RAW files on the thing. it isnt in the main menue and the manual says its some where else but it dosnt say where. and the dang professer sugested this exact camera and he doesnt even know. -__-
what im probably mad at is that this semester i only made a 2 day weekend when last 2 semesters i made 3 day weekends and still bearly made all the deadlines meet.
and yeah, im self taught for the most part too. but had teachers along the way. none really told me anything then what i already knew i had to do. but they helped.
so, you in college or going to college? i gust got confused XD. i went to art insatutes of philadefia. for a bit, they do a great job i think. i trasferd to edinboro university to save the money, but i dont like it that much here. seems like i save money but get a lesser education. just how it seems to me.

so you just went to a regular college and now want to go to a all animation college? is thats whats going on? art instutes are all about art for the most part. and the non-art classes arnt taken too siriously. so you have time for art classes. really wish i was still there... lol this place im at now is half and half i think XD i dont like it here -__- need more animation and less yelling over reading and math and history.
oh, and you probably dont want to ask me today....(because im in a bad mood and just saying stuff just plain wrong DX).... you can ask me what would make any work of art better if you want me to help you develop your art.
ill go eat and get some homework done and hopefully i'll calm down by tonight.

i ate, feel better. got the animation table almost ready to go, just got to make a lay out plan for the animation. this should be funer then taking photos for 2 hours in the hot sun DX (not even knowing if im taking them right)

Yeah. Now let's get to know each other. What got you interested in cartooning and drawing?

Well, I'm self taught and have been drawing since I can remember. I kept getting better, and I kept promoting myself up. I started publishing my stuff in the middle school newspaper and I won an award in 8th grade for Art with like $500 too. In high school, just did a few illustrations. College changed things- Started working with a more serious student paper that gets distributed throughout coral gables, made a website and became a cartooning instructor at a camp and even giving out private sessions

That's awesome. For me I started at age 13 and drew fan art from Disney and WB. In my 20s, I got to the point of drawing my own characters. Now I'm doing a project "The Dodgeball Teens" which involves my own characters. Hopefully one day in the future I can show my project on TV in front of millions or publish it in an actual comic.
