Hello everyone,
First of all thank you for viewing my drawings. I really appreciate it and would love your input.
I've only been drawing for about a 1 1/2 years. Never had I ever been able to draw but I moved to Australia a year ago to be with the love of my life, thought I was going to go crazy when I realized that I was not going to be able to work for at least 12 months due to our Visa process. I've been an interior Designer for over 14 years but never really had to do any free hand drawings everything was done on the computer. Wondering what I was going to do for such a long time I picked up a set of charcoal pencils one day whilst at the shopping center and with constant practice and doodling I developed what you see.
It has turned out that I'm probably best at animals but I really want to become really good at people portraits so if anyone has any ideas on how I can get better at them I would really appreciate it. I hope you enjoy my creations as I post them and hopefully some of you will buy some of them...

Cool Derek, can't wait to see it. I ordered the varnishing pencils and stupid me did not realize that you don't use those until the end since you can't add color after they've been used but I did an apple and it turned out alright. I'll send it to you.
We are going to Blake's mom for Christmas, she lives about 3 hours south of Sydney. I'll enjoy that since she is a lovely lady, I just love her. What are you dong for Christmas?

I would give anything to be able to be with my mom on Christmas. I have not seem my family in 2 years and it's driving me crazy. Hopefully we'll be going in a few months.
