# About me

My name is Alanna Butler and I have been working as an abstract painter and freelance sketch artist for over 10 years now. I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, but recently I moved and now reside in Sharon Pa. I use various techniques when it comes to my paintings, it really depends on the mood I'm in at the time. I am very into the metaphysical and spiritual aspects of life and always try to mold this into my artwork. I love when I can put my heart and soul into my work, sometimes this involves getting my hands wet, but that’s the fun part. My artwork has been in a few group shows over the past few years, each show was very different. I am a freelance artist as well, so I have done plenty commission based works. I am very flexible and love when people come to me with ideas of what they want their piece to look like. I also love to work with recycled materials like cardboard tubes, boxes, wood, plastics and paper. I usually use these objects for my paintings, making a 3D type look.
