If the stage is a .X accessory file, even MMD can do it.Ā  But in MMM, just load the accessory file, then move the slider of 'ALPHA'Ā  at the second menu from the bottom left.Ā  Value of 1 = no transparency.Ā  0 = full transparency.Ā  Then click register frame.Ā  Then it should be enough.

If the stage is a pmd or pmx file, i would suggest using MikuMikuEffect, then use the effect known as ghost.fx.Ā  Ghost .fx exists as both a shader and an accessory file.Ā  The transparency of the accessory file determines how transparent that models with the ghost.fx shader disappear.Ā  This way is a lot crappier, but it gets the job done if you absolutely cannot use .X accessory files

the progress of making new stuff should proceed rapidly as you get a hang of this stuff though.

My first model took a month. Haruka on the other hand took 2 weeks. Nowadays i can churn out so-so models over a weekend. But still, to make them unique enough that people will actually download it.... difficult

Yeah doesn't look like anyone has done IBRS. I see a lot of BRS versions but the armor on IBRS kinda makes it a job for someone like me with a custom toon built from scratch. Im pretty sure I can make a really high quality one. lol I need a poll or something haha

i usually also stalk the google sketchup warehouse. Occasionally you can find decent models which can be brought into mikumikudance.

Hmm issues, what kind of issues? I don't mind fixing others stuff if its like a nights work haha but I tend to just make my own stuff from scratch if I intend to use it because there's like a kind of honor and standard I've adopted because of my profession. Plus I love the challenge of trying to improve my self and the subject matter

Kinda reminds me of back in school when kids would work on a big group project and stick in on their demo real and not mention what parts they did and leave the audience to believe they did it all, while I slaved away actually doing it all and getting about the same credit.. T_T

i wanted to make Gundam Girls previously, but the sheer number of vertexes made it very difficult to test without going into PMX format.

I'm not sure. I could remake them if i wanted to. Maybe in the next holidays if i dont get anything which i want to do.

hmm I'm sure you did all you could to retrieve the files. I use hirens boot cd and utilities to bring back stuff XD. I remember in school back before I knew as much my HD died completely and it was either send my hd off to very specialized professionals that recover data on that specific brand for $500 or not graduate on time which would have cost me more. I got back about half the usable data I thought I would but I made a epic recovery.

Yeah that's the problem with 64k verts as the limit you can't go crazy with models. So i bet finding models that a usable with this limit in mind is hard. A realistic possible solution is DL maya. Import your google sketch up model like any other software, select the model by clicking on it and going to Mesh drop down menu at the top and selecting "reduce" (if you hit the box to the right it gives you options on how much to reduce by). Then export the model from maya. Its kinda the lame way to do things but sometimes it does the trick.

That's how I had to get Mirai's braids within budget for mmd. xD

ah well.

i do need to finish some work first. Then it will be a matter of how i want to do afterwards. Maybe i'll make two separate models to keep the vertex limit in check. Then apply the same motion to both models.

There's a trial and apparently no price lol which is scary but it does a great job.

so that both of them can stay as PMD files without the sum of its parts going over 65 k vertexes.

It may not matter for people who deal exclusively with mikumikudance, but i need it to be in PMD so i can use the model for both MMDAgent and ARToolkit_MMD

release her tomorrow, after i fix the wings. This time, i made sure to delete enough vertices to fit the vertex limit.

I got a suitable motion data for her to dance to, but i need to adjust some movements so that her scythe doesnt cut off her own head.

for this one, i dont think so, but it may have double faces. This one did not go through autocad conversion process though. However, her polygon count is quite high due to the number of curved parts she has.

I barely got her saved at 65k vertexes. So the scythe has to come separately.
