Melody and Micah saleThe DAZ has put the morphs on sale for Melody and Micah, and I, as usual, have no money.
So I make a special offer to anyone who makes me requests: only $ 5 on request: a render with up to 3 characters, in high resolution.
Get under it. The offer lasts as long as the DAZ sell-off lasts. You do not leave me without these morphs.
https://www.daz3d.com/furries-for-micah
https://www.daz3d.com/furries-for-melody
I want to ruin, to those who will help me to buy these morphs, I will make an extra image with character created with these sets.

I am trying to find a Star Wars Mirialan tattoo skin that will work for Aiko3 / Hiro3, if anybody knows of one please let me know, thanks.

The only one I was able to find is for V4. Actually surprises me that no one has made any L.I.E. presets for this or even a PSD layer version.

WickedPrince In reply to BrotherHades [2016-11-25 16:02:29 +0000 UTC]

I'm still trying to figure out Gimp well enough to make one myself but I'm not very crafty with this stuff. Unfortunately I think that MOST 3D artists gave up on the 3rd gen characters before SWTOR and Clone Wars brought the Mirialan into popularity. I have a ton of Aiko3 product I haven't even installed yet, not willing to give up on her yet myself.

BrotherHades In reply to WickedPrince [2016-12-24 15:37:21 +0000 UTC]

Are the tattoos unique to each person or are they the same across the race? I mean other than seeing one of the species in Attack of the Clones, I know very little about them. Depending on complexity of the designs, whether individualized, and a few other factors I might be able to either make a .pdf layer with the tattoos or a L.I.E. preset then it would just be down to finding a matching skin texture that would work.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

WickedPrince In reply to BrotherHades [2016-12-25 01:20:31 +0000 UTC]

The tatts represent spiritual tests they've passed. Although most Mirialan are not Force Sensitive they have a cultural spiritual belief that's similar to the concept of karma. They use geometrical designs, mostly fairly simple diamonds and circles and such, but what is used, and where it's placed all have significance. From what I've seen they mirror the designs on both sides of the face. starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Mirial… Β  So in other words the designs are standardized, but the compilation is fairly individual based on each persons history.

Somebody helped me get essentially what I was looking for. It's a jpg overlay of the tatt designs that I layered onto the skin inside DAZ. I figured out some time ago that you can layer two skins by using the diffuse strength node drop-down to insert the second skin.Β  Thanks for the offer. My friend came through for me just a couple days ago, I've been pestering a bunch of people, but was also hoping that I'd find some older V3 skins that I could use on Aiko3.

Cool.
I have what would be a perfect base texture for a Mirialan for Aiko 3. If I remember correctly I purchased it at PoserPros, but to my knowledge the vendor never put it up for sale anywhere else after Daz closed PoserPros. It was a witch character pack but can't remember the name at the moment.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

WickedPrince In reply to BrotherHades [2016-12-26 12:28:52 +0000 UTC]

Yeah there's a lot of stuff that I find that I wish I could get. Some vendors are willing to make a private deal on product they no longer market - why not right? You should have a copy of the product you could send via email and it's a bit of extra cash. I'm more than willing to pay via PayPal in advance for things I'd really like to get. But some vendors are adamant about not making any money on the product. I've had a vendor tell me "It never made any money when I did market it, so to hell with it." A while back I contacted BaronVonHarkonen about his Aiko3 product just after he closed his original site and shut down sales on product for any character other than his own. When I told him I'd like to get nearly everything for Aiko3 he cut me a deal on prices, and I purchased his entire catalog.

I picked up the LM Aberon Sidhe for Hiro3 before it went off the market, one of the skins is a mild green one which works good for a Mirialan, it just lacks the tatts.

I keep trying to use the AikoAndHiroAddicts to try to tap into the knowledge of other fans, but it seems not many group fans actually read notes. I'm wondering if there is another way to potentially make contact with fans.

I've been wondering: Will this group accept art using Genesis using Aiko 3 and Hiro 3 morphs?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 2

BrotherHades In reply to Caesar99 [2016-05-04 22:33:44 +0000 UTC]

We used to but after a bunch of submissions were coming in where you could not tell that any Aiko or Hiro morphs were used, the Admin team made a decision to accept works only using Aiko 3 Hiro 3 and their derivatives like Xin Xin, Melody and Micah, Aiko Toon and Hiro Toon, Bel Bel.

It was just decided there was too much gray area and with other groups that are not so figure specific out there that accept submissions it was easier to limit the submissions here.

Hope this helps

Lately I've been playing around with the Shaft73 ( www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/ve… ) Daemora character for Aiko3 and discovered that DAZ doesn't seem to like to save the facial morphs, at least in the older versions of DAZ that I have been mostly using. I am wondering if this is still a problem with the new DAZ?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

BrotherHades In reply to WickedPrince [2016-05-04 22:36:40 +0000 UTC]

How are you saving the morphs? I will admit it has been a long time since I've played with morphs and saved outside of a full character as .duf files or full scene files

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

WickedPrince In reply to BrotherHades [2016-05-05 13:14:15 +0000 UTC]

I am doing just full scene saves. When I reload the scene the facial Daemora morphs are all removed. The dial is still there, it's still listed as at full morph, but clearly they aren't there. Switching the dial from 1 to 0 doesn't do anything. I have to remove them entirely using the remove tool for the character, and then add them again or it really screws them up - like it's doubling them up.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 0

falsedelic [2014-11-20 19:23:14 +0000 UTC]

I thought maybe you Hiro and Aiko addicts could help me out. Does Hiro 3 have a dial to adjust both his eyes (left/right, up/down) and eyelids at the same time? I have to adjust each eye separately at this point, then the eyelids. That can't be right can it?

Wondered about Hiro 3 clothing. Is he the most unloved figure in Poserdom? I wondered if there was a niche site, not one of the usuals that had a good bit of gear for him?

Thanks for the info but not working with A3 and H3 much these days. I'll get back to them eventually I'm sure.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

WickedPrince In reply to falsedelic [2016-05-07 04:53:21 +0000 UTC]

The costumes and stuff for the newer versions are pretty sweet, I'm very tempted to jump ship myself. But I've spent close to ten years collecting stuff for A3 and H3 so I really don't want to ditch them.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

falsedelic In reply to WickedPrince [2016-05-10 19:32:43 +0000 UTC]

The costumes get better but the characters, A4, 5, 6 etc. don't have the same charm in my opinion. They're starting to look like the same realistic pin ups as the other characters, not so much like illustrative/toon figures anymore.

A3 and H3 have the amazing Capsces and Littlefox morphs, Melody and Micah. The full package has still never been duplicated for quality, consistency and anthropomorphic variation. You can create a whole world of similar human and animal characters with actual style and creativity using those morphs, and use the same clothing on them all. I doubt we'll ever see the like again.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

WickedPrince In reply to falsedelic [2016-05-11 10:58:01 +0000 UTC]

I agree, I picked up almost everything I could get for Melody and Micah, as well as the Kasa character by Jenelson and it's various skins and morphs. Combine them with CDI's Kioki/Hitoro and you have an immense ability to customize. Unfortunately Hiro3 really doesn't have great costuming, even when you dig around the net to find additional stuff. So I'm left wondering if finding software to convert the new costumes to A3 and H3 is worth the effort. DAZ introduced an Aiko7 for Genesis3 almost immediately, yet they still don't have a Hiro6 for Gen2 as far as I know.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

falsedelic In reply to WickedPrince [2016-05-11 21:19:14 +0000 UTC]

Umm, I didn't see an Aiko 7 at Daz, just Aiko 6 (and no Hiro). I don't think Daz (and their clientele) is much interested in those kind of figures anymore. Aiko has essentially been replaced by Hitomi (I think) as an anime figure, but no male version as far as I can see.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

WickedPrince In reply to falsedelic [2016-05-12 01:10:56 +0000 UTC]

I think you are right, my mistake, but still it won't be long before the release her I would think considering how quickly the other Aiko upgrades were released after Victoria. Though you could be right about Hitomi, they did release the newest catgirl set for her. But yeah, she needs a partner in crime. What kind of anime doesn't have a buy in the middle of the harem?

TsubasaShi In reply to falsedelic [2014-12-08 17:04:02 +0000 UTC]

To date I haven't seen one.Β  What you could do is make a null point and have both eyes focus on the Null.Β  Gives a more realistic look at how the eyes look at stuff when adjusting them for vision.Β

At the same time, you can focus the eyes on whatever in the scene you want them to.Β

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

falsedelic In reply to TsubasaShi [2014-12-09 15:11:35 +0000 UTC]

Ah, I hadn't thought of that. Many of my scenes don't have much in them so a null object (or an invisible whatever) should do the trick. Odd there's no two eye dial. There's some way I can make one though I think, linking parameters together. I'll have to look up that tutorial. That's what I get for using older figures I guess.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

TsubasaShi In reply to falsedelic [2014-12-10 04:55:54 +0000 UTC]

Actually, from what I've seen, there is no linking dial between the eyes in up to the 4th gen.Β  I use V4/M4 and haven't seen a linking dial yet.Β  LOLΒ  I might not be looking in the right area for it but I usually just use a null or something in scene to position the eyes.

I haven't hit up the 5th or 6th gen figures yet so I'm not sure how those work.Β  But overall, I prefer Null/scene focuses to give the image a more natural look.

Hope this is an appropriate place to ask this, but does anyone know it there is a weight-mapped Aiko 3 available anywhere? I've come across a few weight-mapped V4s available for download, but haven't seen a weight-mapping upgrade for Aiko 3, yet.

TsubasaShi In reply to shadowblade316 [2012-04-23 21:29:25 +0000 UTC]

How do you mean by weight mapped?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

shadowblade316 In reply to TsubasaShi [2012-04-23 23:36:19 +0000 UTC]

Weight mapping is how the joints on DAZ's Genesis figure work instead of the old spheres of influence that older figures used, and it has the potential to create better bending joints. Poser Pro 2012 supports weight mapping, and people have already made an updated Victoria 4. I was hoping someone might have made an update for Aiko 3.
