Hello there. I just wanted to say that I've been following TF stories in the SecondIdentity range for some time now, and even though Transryu is out of touch, I gotta say: they're awesome to read!
So much that they kicked off a superhero series of mine. In remaking the first episode - which was just submitted in two out of possibly four parts, if you're interested - makes a semi-parodic-joke about it.
The Story of Lora Jett - Remake, Part 1PROLOGUE Β
Β Lorraine Jett, also known as Lora for short, was a 19-year old woman who lived in Centropolis, California, a few miles due north of San Francisco. Having graduated with Associates in Arts at the College of Marin, outside the town of Ross, she had just recently moved to this relatively secluded chunk of urban zoning, with a cheap apartment to live in.
Β Her reasons to come here were something sheβd struggled to block out of her mind for months, but the thing always haunted Lora in occasional nightmares was the sight of her grandfatherβs house on fire just as both she and said grandpa, Clarence, came home from the graduation ceremony. The police and fire department came to fix the damage, and traced the blaze to a tampered gas line, but no one could pin down the culprit. Nevertheless, Clarence had told her to move out because of this disaster adversely affecting his ability to care for her, not to mention his mental health.

The Story of Lora Jett -- Remake, Part 2Β Her pondering was interrupted by a very strange noise coming from her bedroom. It was unlike any sound sheβd heard before. Her knowledge of sci-fi media likened it to the noise of a slowed down and reversed plasma blast, overlaid with something relative to white noise static. With nothing else to do, Lora decided to check out the source of that sound. When she approached, what was inside caught her expectations completely unawares.
Β Sitting on the bed, this object appeared to be some kind of organic capsule about the dimensions of a pillow, except bearing the appearance of a balloon. Lora picked it up and guessed that the object was made of vinyl, like a pool toy of sorts. Then, as she turned it, noticing the unusually heavy weight of the thing, Lora discovered what seemed to be its valve. With no other orifice in the thing, she pulled the plug. Amazingly, as the balloon deflated, the valve appeared to expand in diameter to about the diameter of a tennis ball, so wide

Hey I recently got interested in costume tfs and was poking around different websites before chancing upon the name transryu. I remember reading many of his stories before (and remember loving them) so I tried googling his name etcetera. In the end, all I could find was you from a tanuke article that mentioned he was passing the costume shop to you. I know I'm taking a stab in the dark... Seeing how this account hasn't been active as of late, but may I ask - what happened to transryu?

Yeah it has. I'm currently collaborating with Fireinacan. We are writing stories that happen at approximately the same time so its taking a bit of effort to get each other caught up before we continue writing. Sorry for the delay, but it is necessary to keep up the quality of the setting at the moment.
