I guys! You dropped by my site asking if I had any suggestions about going pro.

First...go digital. Film cost a ton of money and even more importantly takes a hell of a lot more time.

Scanning film will never get you to the point that digital is at now unless you are using a top of the line drum scanner and even then be prepared to spend a lot of time correcting your film stuff.

Go Digital SLR with a minimum 100 iso speed and learn adobe.

best thoughts I can give you!

If you know what you are doing you can earn a ton of money doing stock photography without leaving your house.

why would you want to make money simply doing stock photography from your own house? seems quite a boring way to live. well i agree that Digital is more economic, but film photography is done by romantics, like myself, i still collect vinyl, technically there's no point in that either, but its what i love to do. the dark room is my escape, the hours spent there are not hours lost but gained from the stress and business of everyday life. but thats just my opinion. I will go digital slr as soon as i can aford it, but only because of my student budget.

I do stock photography, I do aerial photography, I do portrait photography, I do landscape, nature and wildlife photography. I do travel photography, and I also do fine art printing of the same. I get paid for these. If you wish to classify yourself as a "romantic" please feel free to do so but spare me the snobbery of your assessment of my "boring life".

As for your clientele good luck I am sure they will need it with such an arrogant juvenile as yourself!
