Hello, I'm Mephiles. Mephiles the Dark.
I'm here to answer all of your questions, no matter how silly they may be... So don't be afraid to ask me anything you wish to know.~
Name: Mephiles the Dark
Gender: Referred to as male; but because he is simply a being of darkness, he has feminine genes and qualities in him as well.
Age: Unknown.
Sexual Orientation: Pansexual.
Relationship Status: Taken by Dragon-Of-Flame , though he is not very faithful by nature.
Strengths:
•Being Iblis's other half, Mephiles is immune to attacks having elements of fire. If anything, fire related elements only attracts him to other's having it even more.
•Although his persistence often gets him into trouble, it does help him in getting what he wants most of the time in the end.
•Mephiles can sometimes be a very convincing actor; so while he is easily able to be tricked, he can also easily trick someone else as well.
Weaknesses:
•After being defeated during the Solaris incident, much of what little physical strength he had then is now gone. He will rarely ever put up much of a fight, and if so, it is usually with whatever weapon or item he can get ahold of to use to his advantage.
•Mephiles adorns a titanium collar around his neck (often unable to be seen because it is covered by his chest fur.) which is attached to his skin by needles, injecting him with chemicals such as dopamine. These chemicals are what cause Mephiles's personality to differ, to put it simply. It is worn to weigh him down or simply distract him from any thoughts of harming anyone or going back to his old ways. Not only that, this collar also drains any of Mephiles's powers he once had, rendering him defenseless against anything. He cannot use his crystalline form with the collar on. This collar cannot be removed easily and would take much effort to get off of him. If taken off, then Mephiles will often turn villainous once again as he had been during the events of '06 in response to not having these chemicals in his system.
In some cases, he will revert back to his old self even with the collar on, but only personality wise. He is still weak, and really only reacts out of fear or shock, because once he comes back to his original state of mind, his thoughts only seem able to flash back towards the past events of '06. This often causes him confusion when seeing doubles of any Mobian characters about. For example, Mephiles may act very affectionate towards one Shadow because the collar is working effectively, (He is often attracted to Shadow's; the collar is working in reverse of his true hatred towards Shadow, making him believe he is in love with him instead.) or he acts aggressively to a different Shadow for absolutely no reason behind it, which means the collar is not taking total effect at the moment. Usually, this depends the amount of dopamine he is receiving in this moment.
When he sees these doubles in his "original state of mind" from '06, he often believes they are some figments of his delusional imagination or they are not real altogether and that he is just seeing illusions much like a schizophrenic, and that his mind is simply playing tricks on him as a psychological "guilt trip" for what he has done.
•Mephiles has an irrational fear of cats. (This does not include Mobian cats such as Blaze; only feral cats.)
•He usually destroys whatever he touches in some idiotic way of his own, depending on the situation.
•Mephiles is very possessive and gets extremely jealous when it comes to people he has affection for, and will often act irrationally to make sure they won't be taken from him by someone else.
•Mephiles claims he cannot climb higher terrains, but he may actually be making it up because he knows he can't get down on his own.
(Look at his cutscenes in '06... There is no way he got down off those places by himself-! *shot*)
•As mentioned, Mephiles's "original state of mind" from '06 is still stuck in the time where he was defeated after the Solaris battle. He will often not recognize anyone personally he has met when drugged by his collar, only faintly know small tidbits of information about them. Because of him passing these people he sees as an illusion, it is never truly known to him what is reality and what is truly a figment of his distorted imagination.

Mephiles had been wandering around town quite aimlessly himself, having unfortunately nothing better to do. He tired of laying around and moping about his failures, realizing it would fix nothing.
But as he wandered, he noticed the dragoness and he raised a brow. Mephiles had seen her before - but what was with that get-up?
Not realizing this had been an alternate of his 'mate,' Flare, Mephiles hesitantly approached her. He was curious, of course, but tried not to make it too obvious - he didn't want to show such an interest in her personal affairs.
"What is.. This..?" the demon asked curiosity, referring to her attire.

"Job..?" Mephiles murmured, his eyes then trailing up to meet hers. Honestly, the ashen male was so surprised when he noticed the change of color that he was used to that he almost didn't hear her ask who he was.
"Me..?" He asked, "You know me.. I know you."
