It is a very-very nice photograph.
It has quite an atmosphere. Were it not for the human hands that are exposed, it would be downright scary (which is already, but it would be even more). Very nice capture! It is complete I'm glad I saw that : )

Χοπ! Χοπ!

Όλα καλά και δημιουργικά;

Πρώιμη περίοδος, ψηφιακή δουλειά... πέρασε καιρός από τότε.

don't worry about art house, I understand. Κατά τ'άλλα μια χαρούλα, δημιουργικά και στο τρέξιμο, όπως πάντα.

Well, thank you very much for the suff you have uploaded in your gallery. I did not know which to fave first. Especially the drawings with the characteristic long-thin figures are simply amazing. Or Cute. Or lovely. Or all of the above. Very nice work! Also liking the "Christmas 08" - where I left a comment. Very nice colours, lines, figures. In short, your gallery brings me a somewhat "Warm feeling".
Actually, I'm considering of a print of the Olio piece, I have a friend who adores such images and she would be in an OMG-I-Die state if given the print
The "I Concur", the "-Parish-Clown-", also very nice figures. The "Guns Don't Kill People" too - I agree with a comment saying you're good at vectors
The rest, I haven't had the time to check yet, but ..Way to go!!

P.S.: do you happen to know whether prints can be bought through paypal?

Thank you for such a lovely comment! I do hope your friend likes it if you decide to get it.
It's been a while since I've done vectors!

I buy prints via paypal, so it should be fine!

Already most of what I saw was by no means dissaponting
The "Palatul Culturii... si..." one I liked also, especially the contradiction between the monument and the careless garbage throwing. A pitty though garbage is laying there.

Yeah... The ones that take care of the city's appearance should be ashamed of themselves... They think that because no one can see the trash it's not important to clean it... I wanted to expose the situation but the photo didn't get the exposure I wanted... but in time who knows

Now that's interesting..some substance behind the shots.
(I just realised I was flooding the comments area of the photo with my typing, that's why I'm not replying to that. I'm a newbie account-wise Otherwise I've been visiting the site from 2000 I think)

Are you into HDR photography? I think I spotted something in your gallery.

Ironiada In reply to BetweenBodyAndSoul [2009-02-02 07:01:30 +0000 UTC]

It's not flooding as long as the discussion is about photography. Yeah, I do like HRDs I had a period when all I did were HDRs but my camera doesn't shoot in RAW format ( which is an essential requirement for a good HDR) so I kind of gave that up... The thing is that I still haven't found a photography style to stick to ... I'm experimenting with all kinds of stuff. HDR is a great way to make some spectacular photos but I sometimes feel it's one big edit. Photography shouldn't be about the edit but rather about the content... Most of my pictures are edited though but that doesn't make me a hypocrite I don't really post like a mad man, I tend to post the things that to me seem different from what I have seen.

"HDR is a great way to make some spectacular photos but I sometimes feel it's one big edit."
This exactly what I think. I tried to make something out of HDR photography but it seemed to me..fake, pointless, something along that. Apart from not being able to have a steady shot at different exposures. I wonder how they do it with moving objects in their photos. Maybe some adjustment to the RAW files? I have downloaded a video-guide for that, but I never bothered watching it. I cannot be bothered to adjust my photos in Gimp/Photoshop at times, let alone go for an HDR image. I do not think I managed to produce a decent HDR image anyway. The fact that HDR images often look to me just plain fake (too much "technology", too much try for something extraordinary or "new", without any content at all sometimes). Often the HDR effects are just too much in an image. Like the Diffuse Glow effect that you can now see from photos and comics up to movies ( "sky captain and the world of tomorrow" could be an example and maybe "Atonement" also). Some things have to be used in moderation, there a diferrence to exaggeration.

Now (well, two days ago actually ) that you mention editing, it is something that I keep thinking about. Up to what point is editing acceptable? or What kind of editing? What would you usually edit in photos you take?
I usually stick to brightness/contrast, curves, levels and maybe color tint like sepia. Also Sharpening, though I'm at a point where I think I should just accept that there will not be the absolute sharpness that I might be after in some photos.
If I edit an image that differs dramatically from the original image I take it as Photo-Manipulation, rather than Photography, as if two seperate projects. I usually want to know what I was able to shoot and through that correct the technique used, pay more attention to what I should do to achieve the effect desired.

Something a bit irrelevant - Have you given a try to Video Art?
