I disagree with the above statement as there are many evils (hording, rape and the like) that are born not from a critical lack of knowledge but of an inabillity to resist errant desires- thus why many serial killers have trtied to turn themselves in for fear that they would kill again. Obviously they are not ignorant of the wrongness, nor do they 'know no better'. So to addend the statement: weakness and ignorance are the root from which stem all evils.

I must admit that I was just a bit offended by your critique- but after mulling over your words, I admit that you're right. I mainly posted that quote simply because I thought it was neat. heh... I'm still young, and still learning...
