Hi Brian... yes, I like the Nikkor 18-200 mm. The VR is especially handy! The placement of the zoom and focus ring have not been a problem for me, but that is more a matter of personal preference. It is a great choice for a workhorse "do-it-all" lens. I still use my Tokina 1116 a great deal, but that's because I am a wide kind of guy.

The only problem I have found is that the zoom extends automatically if pointed at the ground (which can be quite annoying). However, I have the original version of the lens, and I understand that this problem was fixed in the newer version (VR II).
