hmm and well it depends XD 
 for something like : pre00.deviantart.net/8c74/th/p…
since I add some stuff in photoshop after, it takes like, 1h30
but another like : pre00.deviantart.net/13cf/th/p…
takes around 15-20 min
but then, something like img00.deviantart.net/4698/i/20… takes around 40h XD 

but in general it takes from 20m to 2h for a drawing, and 20h to 60h for a 3D sculpt 

I was in a video game art school, just finished it ( like 3 weeks ago O_O ) but I only did 3D there. 

now that school is over, I would say I make a drawing/sketch every 3 days XD but I work like, 3 to 6h on my 3D sculpts everyday ^^' 

I think I can draw those fast sketches because I somehow gave up on drawing, so I do not really care about drawing well and making very good pieces ^^' 
I just do them to put emotions on paper which makes me feel better afterward... 

But I think one way you could do, to work faster, would be to accept that you won't make good drawing every time you draw. then you might be able to just sketch out some random stuff, even if it isn't pretty. The more of them you will do, the faster you will get to make the 'pretty' pieces afterward. 
it is a bit like 'training' I guess :/

Well, I think if you retried to apply now you should get it O_O 
I got rejected for 3d art school before as well, but I applied to 3D art University instead and got accepted.
Sometimes trying another school works! Sometimes they just don't have enough space for everyone ;_;

So first, do you have any rules or limits on what you can or won't draw? Also, are you familiar with any of the following? Yugioh, the Disney movies, the legend of korra, total drama and the ridonculous race, blue exorcist, Dangan Ronpa, gurren lagann, my hero academia, free iwatobi, samurai jack, voltron, koe no katachi, pokemon. I'll base the request on one or two of the shows that you know. And finally, how many characters can you draw per drawing?
