I know I may be a bit late at responding but there's a difference between uploading renders of canon models, and uploading art that someone drew or created from scratch. I'm pretty sure an admin on the Bandipedia said that if you don't want your Deviants to be used by other people, you should watermark them.

Since those renders were of canon models of Crash characters, in most people's eyes, the rightful owners of the models are the ones that created the master versions. In this case, it would be the developers that created the game - Crash Twinsanity.
