Its weird, I was only looking at your page yesterday (through crimson daggers) and noticing how you're improving, in other words I think you're on the right track, and your understanding of color and value increase slightly study by study. Keep pushing, I'd love some critiques if you have the time and I would return the favour if you wanted.

hard edges = light area
soft edges = shadow area

Cool man, really good of you to offer such strong and to the point critisism, I was reading about this the other day and it struck me how little I think about it in my work. I'll be sure to pay more attention to it, it does make a huge difference. Out of interest, what do you do art for, where are you going with it?

Yeah its easy to be overwhelmed by a study when it looks so difficult. And im hoping to get into concept art for RPG companies and games. Ive got a long way to go Haha. Deadlines are my big downfall so im trying to work on that

It really is, texture is a bitch too and its pretty hard to juggle all the important things and get a well rounded result. Looks like we're aiming for the same thing then, I think it'd be so awesome to get into the concept art field, but it is madly competitive so it'll be a hard push. Prehaps we could help each other out in the long run then if we're aiming for such similar things? Share resources, study material and critiques if you like, I recon it'd be good to have someone to push me in the right direction, if you'd be up for it
