How do you make the faces in photoshop? They just look too damn real! I'm doing my Niko's picture in PS and can't get his face right... :/

hm...I spend much time doing faces ,I make the skecth first ofc , and then I begin shading ,, I try to set wich direction the light is coming ,, and begin to work and try to make is as real as possible ,, cuz I like to make a certion ''personality , charisma , karma '' into the expession of the face !! I don't think that it is very .. as you said '' They just look too damn real!'' ,, but I am trying to achive that !
btw on that paladin that I made that is acutaly my face ,, all other is my imagination and my work
