Eh, it's whatever you take it for and what you get from it. If you accept the fact that not everything will make sense, some rules and situations are going to suck, it's not so bad. Cuts into personal life a lot if you get put onto a ship, and saps away your non Navy friends. But I enjoy it, I wouldn't do things differently at all.

Yea there are a lot of rules and regulations, and training and quals you continuously go through. And I'm of the petty officer variety, if you'd like to know more, drop a note.
