Well, first you have to clean and skin the animal ( from the middle chest area, up),and remove the horns, i most only do deer, so it's slightly different than other taxidermy like for pet animals. After you completely skin the animal and throw away the innards that aren't being used, you have to flesh it, which is just turning the skin inside out and removing any meat or things inside. I so the ears in this steps, which mostly is just separating the flesh apart and adding caulk into it.  Once all of that is done, i find a deer mount mannequin that the skin ( now called a cape ) will fit over, use some clay to hold the eyes in place on the mold, and use some adhesive to hold the skin to it. Using surgical pins i pin the skin in the correct fashion, use wire to keep the ears erect, and add the mount to a plaque. After that i let it sit out for a few days so everything will dry and harden, then i remove the nails and pins, and Taa-daa! Done! 
I also help do deer skull mounts, Raccoon, Ducks, bass, bob cat, elk, and squirrels. 
This isn't a very details explanation, there are a few steps between some of these, but it would take much too long to write out my whole process.

Heh, i don't actually own the shop. I help my grandfather, so we share the work. 
He doesn't allow me to take pictures of the animals, he says it "makes the customers uneasy" when i take a picture of their mount.
