I would have done more but I got caught up in reading. I will write more. I'm really enjoying them. Because I haven't watched Flash I don't know the characters, but I love how you write them. And, since I found you to have captured the essence of NaLu so well, I'm guessing these are the same.

I just posted a WIP of the dress I'm working on using the lavender fabric. I'm also working on adjusting a pattern by Martha Boers to use the red shot purple fabric. I really love that fabric so it needed to be something spectacular.=^^=

I'm so happy you love that fabric! I'm sure whatever you make willΒ
be splendid!

And I truly, truly appreciate the reviews. It means a lot to me that
you're willing to spend your time reading something I wrote. If I'veΒ
done a very good job you'll want to watch the show!Β

We are starting to get the channel it is on. Well, sometimes. The CW never comes in well. There are so many other shows we live to watch in that channel that we miss, The 100, iZombie, Pandora, Legends of Tomorrow, etc. The series finally of iZombie is tomorrow. I don't think Legends of Tomorrow is even on any more. I'm totally lost as to what is going on on The 100. Grrrrrr.
I may have to see if I can find Flash some where in line. I'm going to get caught up on the 100 that way. So much to watch!

I hope to read some more stories soon. I was having issues with the audio book I borrowed from the library down loading. It finally did, but I only have 5 days before it is due. It is the second if the Game of Thrones books. It is 30+ hours long!

Holy mother of giant books! 30+ hours?! Dang!

Well, if you already watchΒ  Legends of Tomorrow, some of those
characters were on The Flash, or at least showed up for some of
the cross-over episodes.

I have a couple of historical Kdramas I'm watching - and I hate
having to wait for new weekly episodes. But, I suppose it's better
than having to wait half aΒ year to get a whole season.

Good luck with that audio book!

Yay!!
Merry Christmas to you and yours! Β  Β  Β  Β  Β
(only for my bestest friends do I drag out the laptop so I can add Gifs!)

Β
I figured you were pretty busy with all your writing. Did you ever get anywhere with the commission thing? I've kept my fingers crossed for you. kinda tricky when one is knitting and baking!

I finished Christmas, round 1, yesterday. We had a light Christmas lunch with Tim's parents today, so they wouldn't be alone. Tomorrow I start round 2. My sister's family will be here the 2nd. The 3rd I collapse. And get caught up on chatting!

HUGS! till then.

Such nice gifs! I'm about to depart for my mom's side of the family
Tilbury Xmas ~ just waiting on my sweet and sour meatballs to finish cooking
(in the oven) and making a few adjustments to the sauce I made on theΒ
stovetop. ^^ It smells pretty darn good I gotta admit!

I haven't gotten any writing commissions, nor for art, BUT one of my
writer friends in California MIGHT pay me for editing her work! She's trying
to break into writing children's books and she likes my edits. We'll just
see where this goes.

Good luck with your Christmas visits!!

Those are some wonderful gifs, too. Hope the Tilbury Xmas was a delight! From the sounds of those meatballs, it had a good start!

I have a few minutes free between projects. I spent yesterday making 7 kinds of mochi and about 20 mini pecan tarts (for my brother, Jim, the pecan pie connoisseur), and making a wig for the Sally doll for my niece. She hinted rather hard: I would really like one. I love handmade gifts. Lol.

I finished the doll today. I need to take some pictures and pay something after I give it to her.

Tuesday I have to make mochi covered chocolate dipped strawberries. And a couple of other things. We are getting together on Wednesday, that is when my sister's family can be there. Lucky me, I get to get up at 3:30 am to ride down with Tim. Joy.

Hope you and Dave have a happy New Year!
I'll chat soon!
*Hugs*

Tilbury was fun; good food, family time and best of all, a lovely short
drive to and from!!

All your food projects sound delicious and your niece is lucky to have
you - making the doll wig!

Sounds like you're going to be exhausted waaaaaaay before New year's!

Our new year was quiet but delightful. Business as usual, really!

I hope the new year brings you and your family lots of happiness, health and aΒ
good amount of luck! *HUGS*

We survived the holiday prep, and finished everything on time. The get together with my family was great, even if my older brother decided not to show. I rode down with Tim, so I got to Jon's ( my youngest brother) at 5am, just in time to see him and my niece for 5 minutes before they left for work. Lol.
My sister got up around 9, they got there at 1am. We had a great time talking. There were too many cookies consumed, so the simple dinner if roasted ham, potatoes, gravy and corn was just right. Tim worked today so we tried to get out of there early, but as is the way in Minnesota, it takes 3 hours to say goodbye. Poor Tim!

Even though Joe didn't show up, he sent us a present, Maanchi's, my favorite Korean food YouTuber, cookbook. Turns out she is my brother's favorite, too.

We did new year's Eve dinner on Friday, when the kids could be there, so the actual day was rather quiet. Tim worked, so he fell asleep on the couch and almost slept through it. We had Chinese take out. Yum!

I forgot my knitting at my brother's, which turned out well. Nothing to distract me from cleaning the baking mess I made the last few days. Well, except for chatting with you. Way more fun than cleaning.

Did you guys finally get some snow? It snowed in time for the Johnson family Christmas. My sister's family actually had to find their winter coats for the trip. Ft Wayne, IN was still 50Β°F the day they left. They arrived in Minneapolis on the coldest night so far, several degrees below zero (-20 C) So, they were happy. They miss winter. Such a Minnesota thing.
Well, back to cleaning for a bit. I'm reorganising, too. Have to find places for the Christmas presents.

DancesWithSeatbelts In reply to CrazyLadyDDC [2019-01-04 06:59:12 +0000 UTC]

Alas, no snow as yet! We had a little in the early part of December - itΒ
disappeared very fast! I haven't broken out my winter coat yet. I'm still
using a spring jacket - and it's more about having pockets for my chapstick,
keys, and gum than for keeping me warm. LOL

Dave's been on a cleaning spree too - because he knows if he waits for me
it won't happen.

However will you cope without your knitting? You must have more needles
and yarn and plans for other items to make - you can just start something new.

Scheduling holiday events ahead is smart thinking! Planning so more people/family
can join is what makes it nice!Β

I'm gonna go snoop on the internet and see what I can find out about your new
cookbook!Β

It sounds like your Family Christmas was excellent!

We actually have snow on the ground! We were in 2 winter storm warning in the same week. There was rain, slush, sleet and snow. At one point the NOAA weather app have up and just called it "unknown precipitation". Lol. It had been rather warm for January in Minnesota. We aren't sure if we are ever going to be able to drive out on the ice for fishing. Bummer. We can walk, but the fish don't always hang out near the water accesses. Silly fish.=^^=

DancesWithSeatbelts In reply to CrazyLadyDDC [2019-01-13 02:12:23 +0000 UTC]

Heheheh, 'unknown precipitation' ~Β

Still mild as anything in my area! It's hovering around 0, maybe
a few degrees below - but I haven't even felt a little bit like needing
to break out my winter coat.Β

I'll send my best good luck for your ice fishing needs. Fingers crossed
you'll get to catch lots of fish!

We got it fishing. I got one crappie to the top of the hope before it got loose. Then the bottom dropped out in the temps. Brrrrr! I sent a screenshot of the weather so to my sister yesterday morning. At 8:20am it was-22Β°(-30c). Wednesday morning, when we have to leave for the hour and a half drive to the Phillips eye institute, for my surgery it is suppose to be around-25 with -45 windchill. I believe -45f is almost the same in Celsius. It is suppose to warm up to -9. =^^=

Hope it stays milder there, but I fear this cold is going to hit you, too. Stay warm!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

DancesWithSeatbelts In reply to CrazyLadyDDC [2019-02-01 06:29:13 +0000 UTC]

It's been only as cold as -20 to -24 or so Celcius around here. I did
in fact break out my winter coat - but I wear it over my zipped spring jacket - open.
I only go so far for the cold. LOL

Right now, my glass of wine is keeping me warm.

CrazyLadyDDC In reply to DancesWithSeatbelts [2019-02-20 02:50:51 +0000 UTC]

Lol. Sounds like the cold hit you, just not as hard. That last part is good news. I wore two hoodies, one fleece lined and my winter coat, gloves and heavy choppers, a big scarf, my ear band, a hat and my hood. I was still cold by the time we left the parking ramp and walked across the street to the Philips eye institute.

~~ Man, I read that and all I could thinks was 'mmm, sounds cold - but
I'd prolly not wear all those layers.'

I honestly *hate* being too warm. I like to cuddle if it's chilly - but for me, the
temperature *must* be seriously artic chill to consider it cold. I'm just odd IΒ
suppose.
