Hi. Here an old band I've found. Maybe you already kow them : Leaf Hound. They made only one album (Growers Of Mushroom). They are the kind of band who made a trully and unic magnificient album...but they never had success. Now the original albun is one of the much sought-after record (4000 Β£ on Ebay in 2009). Their music is like a mix between Hendrix, Cream and Led Zeppelin : [link] [link] [link] . I hope you'll like it. Also did you create your new account ?

Nice...the video says : "Unfortunately, this UMG-music-content is not available in Germany because GEMA has not granted the respective music publishing rights."
But i foundsome stuff and i love it. You know my music taste , man

I also wanted to tell you a long time ago about other bands i discovered:
Captain Beyondoriginal lineup [link]
(third album, other singer [link]
(1973-1977: A Soupergroup of Rod Evans (singer of the first 3 Deep Purple albums [link] before Ian Gillan!) and the guitarist Rhino of Iron Butterfly [link] )

Armageddon [link] [link] [link]
(1975:A soupergroup between the band members of Captain Beyond and the singer Keith Relf from the Yardbirds !!!! Only one album-before Keith Relf died)

Bloodrock (often listed as proto-metal) [link] (fuckin-good-guitar-solos and -breaks) [link] (I think one of THE underrated Hard rock ballads....remins me of child in time just darker and harder!)[link]
I discovered them in a very old cd-shop who just has alternative and unknown Cds in the sortiment.
This band is the american version of Black Sabbath and Deep Purple!

Dirty Tricks [link]
Their sound perfectly bridges pure 70s hard rock and the NWOBHM sound that was to follow.

Buffalo [link]
[link]
[link]
In my opinion one of the BEST kept secrets in heavy metal. So good that you could kill to get an album!

Candlebox (catchy atmosphere)[link]
(jazz Influence)[link]
(one of the best grunge-solos i ever heard)[link]
I fortunately could find them! It was impossible to get them in regular shops so i had to go to the old c-shop i told you before.Got this album for only 4 Euro!
They had an "one-album-hit-wonder" with their self-titled-grunge-debut in 1993. 4 singles...3 of them in top-20-charts...better album than Nevermind by Nirvana in my opinion... very influentual...this unusual grunge was never played like that before.

I hope you like the bands i have found for you, the are pretty heavy, ain t they?
You mentioned that you wanted to learn and play guitar...how is it going?
You know that I already play guitar since I was 13? I also recorded some "song-compositions". Do you wanna hear them? I could send you a mail....

By the way, here is my new account: [link]

Greetings,
David

I like those bands, most particulary Armageddon.

I started to learn guitar when I was 10-12. I started with classical guitar, then I start Rock and Blues. However I've never been a hard worker in learning music. I've always been looking for quick succes : if I don't succes to learn quickly a song I easily get bored That's why during year I never played regularly (sometime I didn't play during more than 6 month). Since 3-4 month I decide to focuse a lot on music. I tried a new way to learn : looking for challenges. I'm not a good guitarist but I decide to only play songs I love...even if it's very difficult songs, instead of easy but boring songs. I started with funkadelic, then I tried some Hendrix songs. This method work with me. I succesed to "Play Standig On The Verge..." " Red Hot Mama" "Alice In My Fantasies" (even if this last one is pretty difficult for me). For Hendrix I started by "Voodoo Chile (slight Return)". It's not so difficult once you found the main riff. The only difficulti in Hendrix is when he play fast and some very subtle details. It's very easy to improvise on Hendrix songs once you learned some bluesy trick. That's why I learn many blues songs : simple, easy, but full of very cool trick (you can switch and mix them in all the positions and it still sounding great !!!).
Actually I'm trying "Little Wing", it's pretty difficult because I'm bad at fast playing (I suck in guitar solo). Sometime I play classic guitar cause it's good for improve technique, synchronisation and strengh in the fingers.

I'll be very happy to listen some of your compositions. Actually I like to create some melody mostly inspired by blues songs. Blues is trully a treasure houses for guitarist looking for some "guitar wisdom".

I don t know about my "guitar-talent"...my guitar told me once that I am very talented but lazy. I also just play songs that I like and challenges are very welcomed.I can particulary play blues, jazz, spanisch, progressive rock, hard rock and many sorts of heavy metal, but I try to combine styles and I have the urge to invent something new. Many people saying that my songs are just like my paintings....and i don t know if that is a compliment.
I am a huge fan of Hendrix, but I think he is the most difficult to play...for example little wing...I just can try it and try it but I still have problems to play it right, because his style is the complete contrast with my way playing the guitar.
My speciality are eerie, soft and complex compositions and solos, but the speed is not my strength.I like experiments and I am interested in melody.
I sent you some songs today, okay?

As I said Little Wing is very difficult, but slowly I make progress. I like the Santan style : he hold the notes instead of playing fast. I love this kind of solo but I need more creativity (I don't have any imagination for composition for the moment) and playing will help the style I like : a mix between Hendrix/Led Zep/Funk. Also I an eternal unsatisfied guitarist. Some says it's good other say it's a weakness. What do you think ?

Thanks for the song !!! I'll listen them soon (I'm actually listening Siena Root). If your music is like your paintings I presume it's definetly very good.

I am also very unsatiusfied, but not frustrated. Playing guitar is just sometimes frustrating if i don t have any ideas.
How do you like my songs? I judt dont have good recordings to make it sound quite perfect.

i really like the way you effortlessly combine color with black ink; it flows but the color still looks (appropriately) stark.
