Yeah, I already submitted my form to them in like November, but I'm kinda scared that they haven't said anything in so long or that I wont be able to have a table because I might get rejected ;n;

Oh no! I hope you get in! I just sent mine in the other night. The portfolio review part did make me feel pretty intimidated, lol.
Maybe they're waiting till it gets closer to the deadline or something? I guess you could try emailing them to make sure they got your application!

I know you'll get in for sure, your art is wonderful!
Sometimes I wonder if they've started turning down artists who don't have 'good enough art' from getting tables like they do in the mainland. Which is terrible because I think everyone deserves a chance and its not like there are thousands of others to fill their space (It is a small island and a small con kinda) .

I think it might be more to just confirm that you're actually going to be selling something cuz apparently some people buy tables just to have a place to sit? Which I think is insane but I know for a fact that it happens. I hope they work it out so that everyone who applies and pays their fees gets in. It'd be pretty sucky if they started turning people down that they didn't think were good enough, cuz like you said, it's a relatively small con on a small island!

Idk??? I seriously have no clue how many are on the wait-list! If it's like last year then they probably have around 200 tables.
Also I just checked the website and this was at the top of the the artists page on the website and it said this:
"The Kawaii Kon 2016 artist alley is only receiving applications on a wait-list basis. All applications sent in will be wait-listed, and you will be contacted should space open up in the order of application."
Kinda feel like local and returning artists should get preference, tho.

Yeah man, it seems like they should expand the size of the artist alley considering how big the con is getting and how many artists are applying. And it's super lame to not give preference to returning artists!

Iv'e seen a lot of mainland people who were still deciding weather to come or not but lets hope that they're not just coming for the lols, which is what usually happens, they like to come for vacation and all that.
We'll just have to wait it out till we get closer to con i guess.

I think that's so weird that mainland people come to Kawaii Kon because there are bigger and better cons to go to? Plus the expenses of visiting Hawaii are crazy, so maybe that'll help tip the scales in our favor.

Sometimes i wonder if they just want people who have like official art sale things because they're more professional or something. I would have never have gotten my start back then if it was like that
