Can you imagine the sort of dedication and sacrifice it must take to guard a holy object? All those seconds spent putting your life on the line, willing to take a bullet for something that might not even be all that important. I mean sure, everyoneβs heard of Saint Bernard of Beethovenshireton and his quasi-miraculous axe, but how holy can a cheese sandwich really be? Itβs not even toasted. I certainly donβt want to start any sort of religious debate about the elastic nature of cheese, but I just donβt get it. But then my faith in things is pretty low. For example, Iβm still on the fence about this whole rain business. For all I know, it could just be a figment on my neighborβs imagination. The only things I truly believe in are the three large, ambidextrous mountain trout beating me about the head with multi-colored pool noodles every half hour or so. If you ask me, infrequent impact to the cranium is the only way to be certain of anything these days.
