really? well thanks, i try to be a perfectionist about my writings and even that's difficult to do, that's why i hardly upload anything. I want to be sure that i upload a story worth reading and not waste anybody's time

I'm the same way. It's hard to get readers but if you upload I'll check your story out. I lack time, cause I got a two year old and another on the way, so it may take a bit, but I love to support fellow writers.
I'm an aspiring novelist too, and it can be hard when you don't get a lot of readers, but I write anyway and post anyway.

Hi there! I read your short story titled "stranded faith" and the line about "the shield, armor, and sword of my faith" reminded me of the armor of God scriptures in Ephesians 6 so I wanted to share that with you in case you were unfamiliar with the connection between what you wrote, and what Paul wrote through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. I also wanted to let you know what God who made you has revealed in His Word (especially in Hebrews and James) on this very important subject:
Eph 6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
Eph 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Eph 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Eph 6:14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
Eph 6:15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
Eph 6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
Eph 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
Eph 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
Heb_6:12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
Heb_10:22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
Heb_10:23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised)
Heb_10:38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
Heb_11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Heb_11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Jas_1:3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
Jas_1:6-7 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man suppose he will receive anything from the Lord, he is a double minded man, unstable in all his ways.
Jas_2:5 Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?
Jas_2:14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?
Jas_2:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
Jas_2:18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
Jas_2:20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
Jas_2:22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?
Jas_2:24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
Jas_2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
Jas_5:15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

Thank you, that is what inspired me to right this. My personal battles left me weary, and this is what came of it. I was fighting the principals and powers of lust and loathing of the people that enjoys bringing misery on others. I needed to pray for and bless the people that harm myself and others. Patience and mercy for the people corrupted by sin is what I need to master.

Remember "blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy." If you do not give mercy to fellow human beings, you cannot receive it from God, we only have the power to let not sin reign over us because God gave it to us, so pray that these men would see their need to turn to God and submit themselves to Him so that they too can resist the devil who will then flee.
