# About me
I'm just a guy who's a casual fan of Fairy Tail but took great interest in the character Azuma. I was sad to see him get killed off when we bairly knew anything about him. As such, I'm making a fan doujinshi that's basically a retelling of the story after his fight with Erza.

I think that all of these characters have been infected with the " [Luck Virus] " Considering that Lucy's mom made Natsu's scarf, the dragon slayers all knew each other during childhood and now Erza's mom made their style of magic.
Β Plot Contrivance at it's best.

I don't like it. All of these characters having this much of a connection to each other just feels unnecessary and far fetched to me.

I see. I personally don't think it'd be too weird for the dragon slayers to have known each other, but to add Erza is weird. And according to Invel, gray is destined for something as well, leaving only Lucy behind as a normal human being actually.

My problem with the dragon slayers knowing each other as kids is that since they never remembered it and it didn't affect the characters at all be for this, that detail serves no propose. It's just Mashima adding unnecessary and meaningless pathos to his story.

I understand, that's quite true indeed. Although I myself don't particularly dislike him having given the dragon slayers a related past, it certainly is pointless and doesn't influence their character one bit and like you said, they don't even remember it.
