I know I haven't been following on much of your Bleach stuff and I'm sorry about that. It's all fantastic but its just not really my thing. This for some reason though...something about it got to me and I wanted it around so I could look at it several times. I dunno. It spoke to me, to be all sentimental.
I still have yet to get a job so dont feel too bad on the computer thing. I'm nothing more than a waste of space. Well, that's not true. Kind of have my hands full with school and Sammy so, you know...keeping busy at least.

You? A waste of space? Naaaaah, I'd love to get back to chatting like we used to and spewing our pent up frustration on everyday life. Frankly speaking I'm getting absurdly bored to the point that I'd wonder what's the meaning to my life. My drawing passion is 'dead' to a certain extent, thus I don't feel cut out [for the lack of a better term] to be in any sort of art career. So now........well I'm at a complete lost. I don't know what jobs to take. I don't have any specific job in my mind that I would like to take. I don't have a lot of expertise -everything I learned in school and collage went out of the window. I guess I've been too blind-sided since a kid on my ambition to be an artist that I didn't thought of anything else (career wise), and now...here I am...tired of drawing anymore and completely don't know what to do or what path to take.
Most of the advice I get on DA is not to take retail-related jobs *sigh*

I wish I could give you some really crazy awesome advice but apparently I'm not all that great at it right now. The last time I tried to give anyone advice it kinda blew up in my face and I just ended up pissed off.
If I WERE to give advice though...I'd say fuck art. I know its what you went to school for and I know its what everyone expects you to do but I honestly feel like that's putting a ton of pressure on you to meet everyone elses expectations. You shouldn't have to meet anyone elses expectations at this point. What you should be doing is making yourself happy. If that involves pissing your dad off, so be it. I still want to hurl his ass out a window into traffic...but that's besides the point.
You're gaining no joy from what you're expected to do, so dont do it. Get a job that you could be relatively happy with for a while and kind of nonchalantly go about sending out resume's or portfolio's pertaining to your major. And go big. If you have any art teachers that have ideas of some pretty prestigious places you could submit your work to...go for it. Aim high without trying to if that makes any sense and while aiming...if you want to get a job somewhere that has nothing at all to do with art, get a job.
I dont know if any of that is possible with where you're at right now but that's the advice I have. My dad's always taught me you need to look out for number one and keep yourself happy, no everyone else around you.
Now...if you'll excuse me...I've got a studly silver mouse-man to seduce.

Lol, I'm glad you like them! I'll sure try but I've got my hands really full with my little baby girl, school and work. But whenever I get a minute to myself (which is usually never) I try to write what I can. Thanks so much!

Thanks, you too. Sammy's great. Growing like a weed. She's a very happy, giggly little baby though the hectic holiday schedule has messed with her sleeping pattern a bit. I'm sure she'll bounce back from it.
She's kept all of her hair too. The only thing its starting to do is get lighter so she's going from dark brown to light brown. Not sure where that's going to stop.
But I love her to distraction and it kind of feels like something that I've been missing for so long just plopped itself right into my life and I feel whole now. I'm not sure how to explain it but it just feels like I was meant to be a mom and she was meant to be my baby...we were meant for each other and all that fun stuff.

Wow. I find this an amazing story! I hear many cases where babies were born with dark hair, almost black and they end up being blond! It's kinda weird how they change as they grow.

The part about how she makes you feel complete leaves me wondering about myself too as I feel...fragmented for the time being. Maybe I might find out sooner than I think...

maybe this whole ordeal may apply to fictional inspiration too

I would have worked on it sooner but a little over ten weeks I gave birth to our first baby girl so needless to say, life has been seriously hectic for the past year. But thank you so much. The best advice I can give is put a little of yourself into it. All of my OC's have their own image, their own opinions, their own ideals. But all of them reflect a little of myself. And if they want to do something, its best to get out of their way and let them do it. Dont try too hard to control an OC because they are what they are...original. I cant tell you how many times Kenzi walked all over me. Or Jaiden for that matter. She gets her way a lot! Lol. And dont go all crazy and make them unflawed. Give them flaws, give them fears, just put a lot of thought into who they are and who they want to be. Hope that helps!

oh wow, thank you so much.Yeah, when you write a character so much, they really do sort of come to life on their own. And in designing a character it is hard not to put a little of yourself in them. Just not going overboard, you mean. So it's important for them to be human...I think I understand...
