I think I know the feeling.
I've been visiting a paper factory for the last two years or so, slowly it is being demolished and the land cleared for a new suburb. In the beginning it was sensory overload, being in such a place, that the best I could do was just document as I saw it. I like that for urbex, just documenting a place is ok, but there is so much opportunity for creative/art photography... I find it hard to juggle both on the first trip. But when I revisit, things are gone, and soon the whole place.
