As you can see, I've reshaped it, and it is complete. The fur is of a special breed called "Rex". It's pretty rare to find taxidermy quality Rex rabbits, and this one has a unique colouration as well. If you're interested in it, I'd be willing to sell to you

taxadermy is your art, I see. my step-grandpa (I call "Papa Dave") has taxadermy in his house (A teky and a bobcat/lynx) and in the ranch house (many deer and elk). I find stuff like this very interesting, preserving the life once was in a mumafacation-like prosses. I hope your day is going well.

I can still answer your question! All the artists I buy and order taxidermy from do not kill the animals themselves. Many small animals like rabbits are from the frozen reptile pet food trade, and others buy the tanned furs from legal trappers and hunters.

A lot of rabbit pelts, complete and rug cut, got a big coyote, red fox, badger, raccoon, tanuki, arctic fox and gray fox
