Haven't gotten around to playing V3 yet, too much else to do..

Hajime is my absolute favourite out of all the games in the series and I do mean the full package that is Hajime, but if I had to choose another character I like... hm. I suppose...
From the first game, Naeggboi, Sakura and Fukawa (after her development in Despair Girls).
The second game's harder for be to pick favourites because I loved pretty much all of them, but I suppose... Gundam, Fuyuhiko and Peko stand out!

Ah, understandable. It took me a while to finish watching the gameplay, due to not having motivation to do it or I’m busy with other stuff. (I’m broke so can’t play the game, same for the previous ones).
Well I’m in a big tie between Komaeda, Chiaki and Hajime as all time favorites. It’s honestly hard to pick for me- 
though as for other favorites, or characters I like, from DR1 would be Kyoko, Chihiro and maybe Naegi? Not really sure. 
And as for the other SDR2 characters, I’m kind of the same tbh on Gundham, Fuyuhiko and Peko lol-
UDG: I’d say Komaru, Kotoko and Nagisa. I’m not too fond of Toko but I really do appreciate her character development. She was more enjoyable compared to how she was in DR1.

Hmm... I never cared much for Hifumi in the first game
And the victim of my "oh my god stop" was Nagito, but I don't hate him, honestly? I have mixed feelings about him. But he's absolutely the one I thought "PLEASE SHUT UP" about the most. But with the second game's cast I really can't pick a least favourite... it's my personal favourite game in the series. I don't think that'll change with V3 but maybe I'll be pleastantly surprised.
But yeah some Komaeda fans are... odd, to say the least.

Hmm, for myself least favorite characters I guess I’d say Monaca (or as I like to call her; pickle Satan), Haiji (Monaca’s bro) and I think that’s it. Or at least what  I can make out as of rn. 

I used to kind of dislike Komaeda but well, I did do a bit of reasearch in his character more since when I watched a DR play through for the first time, the youtuber  never went through his free time events. So I had to look up those and analysises later. After that I pitied him but still had mixed feeling like you, but then he grew on me....I still don’t understand everything about him til this day, but I appreciate how complex he is imo. 
Speaking of Komaeda fans....I just got reminded of the toxic ones. Oh no. 
Like those who justify his actions, screams at you if you happen to hate him etc etc. 


SDR2 is still my favorite but after watching V3....I’m now in a tie if those two. Goddamnit-

Aye. Komaeda's an extremely complicated character, and I feel that some of the more toxic fans don't seem to realise this, almost? He never grew on me in the same way that he may have done on you but he's still probably somewhere in a top 10 of the DR2 characters for me.

Pickle satan though, right? The Despair Girls characters were a wild ride.

Well tbh, idk which people worse; toxic Komaeda fans or toxic haters. I’ve seen peop,e hate on Komaeda, which is understandable. But even some of them haven’t really...well, done their research. They’d usually describe him as “hope obsessed psycho”, which they’re not wrong, but there’s more complex stuff than that. On the other hand, the toxic fans describe him as “innocent floofball who’s lonely and is gay”. They’re not wrong either (except for the innocent part) but like I said, there’s more to him than that. Smh

I don’t want to know how’s the ship wars are like in the RWBY fandom then, even though well, I don’t watch it but I still don’t want to know-

i admit it, I do ship Komahina. I only started shipping it around when I saw the SDR2.5 OVA (based around Komaeda). But I’m not one of those people who just ignores people’s opinions on them or well, act like it’s the only ship that exists within the DR fandom. Speaking of it, I despise the Komahina and Hinanami shipwars. Jfc- I’m just in the corner being like “hey guys let’s respect each others opinions or ship The holy Komahinanami instead ;A;

THE HOLY KOMAHINANAMI I actually quite like it (I'm really not that much of a shipper. I'll usually just look at a pairing and go 'yeah that's good.' or 'no i don't like that.' and be on my way). And yeah I don't actively ship KomaHina but I don't see anything wrong with it as long as it's post SDR2.5 or w/e.

Personally more partial to HinaNami but I mean

Tbh the RWBY fandom, from how you described it, sounds like the Steven Universe fandom...like one incident where one artist got bullied and hate just because they didn’t draw a character how the character looks in the show...

I am actually kind of a actuve Komahina shipper (look up stuff related to it n shit) but like I said, I still respect other ships and nothing just pretend they don’t exist. (Though if the ships I see happen to be fucked up, like incest, pedophilia or abusive ships then Id be uncomfortable).
I enjoy Hinanami a bit but not as much as before when I wasn’t much of a Komahina shipper.
Thoigh generally, I don’t ship a lot of ships either, and  I like having only a few things to be interested than having multiple stuff that I might end up forgetting about later pfft-

Oh and hhh, a friend of mine would kind of kill me if he saw that I shipped Komahinanami. Not just because of him being a Komahina shipper (and he respects Hinanami) but because he uh, well it had sth to do with people ignoring Komaedas sexuality and shit. Which is new, hearing from a shipper. My friend happens to be LGBT+ himself.


ALSO IVE BEEN LIVING UNDER A ROCK, IM GONNA LOOK UP THE MEME SINCE I HAVENT SEEN IT- it’s implying that he isn’t limited to one person, right? If so, I fucking agree with it.

Yeah there are some ships that are just... they make me question a lot of things although I don't go out of my way to look them up in the first place. I've narrowed down ships I actively ship to like.. two. Which aren't even Dangan ships so neat I guess.

I absolutely understand his reasoning. If I'm going to be honest I do prefer them as more of a BRO3P or whatever three people being best bros would be. But they'd still probably be in some sort of cuddle-pile with Chiaki sitting on top playing her games. In a good timeline they're a crime solving trio like the scooby doo gang of course. Maybe alongside the first game's scooby doo gang. IT'S A SHAME THERE ARE NO GOOD TIMELINES IN THIS SERIES
But yeah! He's not limited to one person! I think that's one of the biggest issues with shippers that I really dislike. HinaNami didn't last forever which I'm sad about but hey more angst fodder for me. Shame I don't enjoy KomaHina. I'd probably be ecstatic that I could fit both ships into the timeline at separate occasions if I were a proper shipper. I don't know. KomaHina has always seemed... off. To me. But before we leave that it wasn't my intention to come off as if HinaNami was canon, I more meant my statement as "Well it's done in the canon timeline in the sense that they can't happen because danganronpa fans can't be happy" although all DR2 Scooby Doo trio ships are just as canon as one another

No no, I understood what you meant!And I do know the fact that unfortunately, most of the time the DR fandom can’t be happy, since knowing DR, we’ll still end up having mixed feelings.
And I was pretty much exaggerating on the small text of fangirling about my fav trio. I do that a lot to give more life to my comments and replies lol. I’m not trying to come off as uh, “obsessive” but sometimes it can come off as that way. 

I rarely get (or at least, I don’t try to be) passive aggressive, because if there’s something I disagree with I just try my best to just be calm and take things with a grain of salt. Since I’m not the kind of person who’s looking for trouble, I just want to have a nice convo, whether I have similar opinions as the other person or not. And just have a good time. 
 
And phew, I got a bit worried myself there. 
Im not very talkative either, I’m quiet like a rock IRL but I feel more comfortable when expressing myself on the internet. And honestly I could go on about talking about DR for hours if I wanted to. Though then again it depends on my mood and sometimes I get bored. So I wouldn’t mind talking about other things, even if I might or might not know anything about the topic lol
