A soft feminine voice calls out from behind the thick wooden door, just barely carrying down into the basement where Headcase built his marvelous contraption, the spoken words garbled by distance into unintelligible murmurs.

Crash test: hands him a cinder block tied to a chain*
Headcase: thanks! *swings it like a mace with his magic*

The sharp snap of metal gears twisting inside the front door handle and the slow creak of metal hinges rubbing laboriously together echoed inside the house as the door swung open. The clip clop of hooves on the tiled foyer snapped Headcase's ears to attention, as he ascended the stairs, his homemade meteor hammer madly whirling in the air with a deadly hum.
"Hey, Headcase? Zip File? Anypony home? Sorry for stopping by all of a sudden, but I got something to ask you. Um, I brought cupcakes?" called out their visitor, her Shetland accent coming in strong.

Headcase: *thinly disguising his own voice with a fake Mexican accent* uh, ze master iz nut arrownd! Who iz it and what you want?! *turns to his step brother and secretary, shaking his head as if he's proud of his own attempt to hide his identity*

There was an extended pause of silence, the only sound reaching the trio's ears the clip clop of the the visitor's hooves as she neared the basement door. The soft exhale and inhale of her breath could be heard when her shadow fell underneath the cracks of the basement door. In and out, in and out.
"That was terribly racist of you, Headcase. You should feel ashamed," said Silver Tongue, raising her hoof and knocking on the door. "Now can you let me in? What I want to ask is important."

((Ah, my apologies. I decided to change her mechanical leg from her right foreleg to her right hind leg, to further distance her from Nicholas. The idea is that the loss of his arm heightened Nicholas' bitterness to the world around him, since the loss of his predominant arm robs him of his ability to touch and feel the world as well as throwing off his balance, whereas Silver Tongue's robbed her of the safety blanket of pony innocence Celestia has covered Equestria, characterizing her with a low level degree of cynicism to the world around her in as well as her ability to stand on her own four legs.
Silver Tongue is nowhere near as nihilistic as Nicholas is and is, for the most part, a pretty normal pony for the series, but she has a few reservations.
Sorry for the change, if it throws you off or what not. ^_^" I did mean to correct about Silver Tongue's lineart, but by the time I really noticed the change he was mostly done inking her out and I would have felt bad telling him to change an ultimately covered leg to a cyborg leg.

Raising her hoof to her mouth as she cleared her throat, the ever cordial female stallion Silver Tongue smiled warmly to the trio of Innovation Ponies before speaking, her voice as soft and smooth as delicious, if tart, clover honey.
"Pardon me if I'm interrupting any experiments, but what mechanisms might I expect to see that would benefit ponykind as a whole? So far I've seen, Head Case, I've seen you test out two cannons and while they have clear militaristic applications, do you have any inventions to improve pony's lives, instead of spreading them apart?"
(Take it as a Question or as an RP request, if you like. I'm also curious to know which particular successful invention convinced Zip File to work with Head Case.)
