haha~ X'D You see I was wondering how did you keep yourself motivated? >.< You see I always struggling to keep mysslf motivated to draw and finish my own art~ I always by any means left my works hanging and at the end just like stop all together~ :< Which is bad because I remember how I used to obsessed in making art and I was very productive back then...And now, I can no longer do that anymore which is like pretty bad~ Sorry~ For asking a bit too much though >w< It's more and less asking for an advice than asking an actual question X'D

I totally understand what you mean. It's a common trait among creative artists to be fantastic at starting something and not being able to finish it (My first 24 page manga took 4 years) LOL! You know, if you want to take this as a hobby or as a profession, it's up to you. If it is a hobby, don't feel bad about starting something and not finishing it... it's a hobby, it's meant to be enjoyable, not... well... stressful.

Only if you want to create Manga as a profession that you need to start disciplining yourself. Perhaps just start with something not too difficult to achieve, do an hour of drawing a day? Or more if you have the time. Keep on working to complete a simple project, maybe a 4 or 5 page manga? Plan the story from beginning to end, and make the story personal, something that is close to your heart. My favorite story to write is romance. Pour yourself into whenever you are about to start the hour, prepare your mind to want to focus on it (just say to yourself "It's only for an hour" if you don't feel like it), and prepare your heart to 'dive' into your story. Before long, you'll find it easier to get in the zone to keep on creating.

When you finish one small project, you'll want to do more. Trust me. And keep in mind that a Mangaka is first and foremost a story teller, not an artist; because a reader won't mind a manga that has mediocre art but with an amazing story, but will not continue reading a manga with amazing art that has a mediocre story.
